Nate, truck driver here. If you’re sitting waiting in traffic you don’t get paid. Typically you’re paid cents per mile. If you’re picking up or dropping off a trailer, it’s called dead time and you are paid for that
@cherrycarrot15 күн бұрын
In the European Union it's illegal to pay by the kilometer. So drivers in the EU are paid for the time, does not matter if you are driving or not. Legally waiting for a load is not considered rest time and should be recorded accordingly in the tachograph

I feel like id love you to try charge ur battery whilst riding, surely there's a gadget out there you can put on your back pack and it will let you charge one battery whilst u use the other, I know nothing about solar so I guess that's where it will fall on its face
@peaksix_16 күн бұрын
Not worth it. His full size solar panel is 100 W maximum. In his last video, with "ideal" orientation, he was getting 70 W. But it'll be on a backpack pointing in all different directions, so let's derate it another 30%, so 50W. But he can't fit all 15 solar cells on a backpack, maybe 1/4 of it. So 12.5W total charging speed. A single battery on that bike is 624 Wh capacity. Assuming 20% charging efficiency loss, it would take 62 hours to charge one battery fully.

@@peaksix_ Also, a decent strategy to drive engagement in the comment section 😏. But, my OCD-ass will still shout this “cargo net” idea from the mountain tops. It’ll catch up with him sooner or later. I think it’s necessary to take some additional precautions when traveling through a foreign continent. Especially when your destination is the possible epicenter of WW3. I know people in country. Kiev is a more dangerous place than it was 6 months ago. The same will be true when he arrives in a few weeks. Just hope our boy doesn’t end up in some Gonzalo Lira type situation… “American travel vlogger detained by SBU for recent criticisms of the government in Kiev”… or something like that. He would be wise to always keep it in the back of his mind that he in an active war zone, under martial law, and that his “American Rights” just DO NOT apply there.
