Im Muffy Right, saying let's storm this and that building publicly, then saying that they have a peaceful protest there, throwing peaceful rocks and spraying peaceful teargas at the defending police, the police were shooting rubber bullets with shotguns while they were being attacked, if they would use live ammo, Russia would send troops in. Peaceful protesting is nowadays storming government buildings being a non-native person trying to force their power on the indigenous people? I should go to Moscow then and do the same thing, if they shoot me, I'll ask for NATO to send troops there(sarcasm).
@Aaidas210 жыл бұрын

Hopefully these guys go back to Ukraine and get prepared to fight against this scum another day with military backing.

Why do these people think Europe or NATO give two shits about the whole situation? Where did they get that idea, it's not like we want them here.

cuz russian propaganda says, that US/NATO soldiers will come and enslave them :P today they fightened people, that Slaviansk have been attacked by English-speaking soldiers...
@973452210 жыл бұрын
actually NATO is interested, or at least is showing presence. The USA sent ships towards the black sea and troops to poland. I could imagine that the US wants a pro western Ukraine because then Russia would lose their access to the black sea
@navtium10 жыл бұрын
They are so interested that they did nothing since this whole thing started. Obviously the sheer act of doing nothing implicates a huge conspiracy by everyone and their dog.

We are told that Russia is an aggressive, imperialist power and that NATO's concerns are about opposing the Russian ‘threat’. But I looked at the map the other day and while I could see lots of countries close to (and bordering) Russia that were members of NATO, the US-led military alliance whose members have bombed and attacked many countries in the last 15 years, I could not see any countries close to America that were part of a Russian-military alliance, or any Russian military bases or missiles situated in foreign countries bordering or close to the US. Yet Russia, we are told, is the ‘aggressive one’. I'm confused. Can anyone help me? rt.com/op-edge/west-leaders-ukraine-democracy-600/?fb_action_ids=519999164778015&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_ref=.U1Gs9Z1zVpg.like&fb_source=feed_opengraph&action_object_map={%22519999164778015%22%3A606382029451820}&action_type_map={%22519999164778015%22%3A%22og.likes%22}&action_ref_map={%22519999164778015%22%3A%22.U1Gs9Z1zVpg.like%22}

There is a difference. NATO doesn't go around annexing countries and territories just because they feel like it. Russia has plenty of shit of it's own, but it's mostly kept under the rug by preventing press coverage and by spreading false informational (their interventions in Chechnya, Ossetia, Georgia, etc.). And that's the main difference between Russia and the west. At least the west is a bit more transparent. At least the west respects human rights.... things that cannot be said for Russia. The main reason they haven't engaged in anything bigger is simply because the country was left in almost total economic ruin after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

I do wonder if you asked the majority of the protestors why they are protesting, if they would actually give a proper response about politics, the economy and pros and cons or instead would just shout "fascists and my friends are protesting too" Maybe it was just the people shown in the first protests that seemed to have more of a reason to protest while these ones just seem to be doing it to be part of a crowd. Also why are Russia and Ukraine obsessed with the word "fascist?" They call everyone it if they are the opposition.
@cougsjohnson1 Жыл бұрын
I've always liked Russia especially before 2014. But, this series by Simon really doesn't make it easy to side with them on the conflict. You don't see the Kiev Regime doing press conferences threatening the journalists. WTF.
