I really like this little pattern. Glad you also found it enjoyable.

I never realized the Moose had a Spay blade, I thought it was some other specialty blade. That being said I have never given the Moose anything other then a quick glance until now. Thank you Tobias for educating me on the Moose Pattern.

I just bought the black macarta carbon II of this knife. Waiting for it to arrive. Like the shape of the body and a nice looking clip blade. What really sold me on this knife though was that interesting(dare I say sexy 😁) spey blade. When I first saw it, I thought to myself, that looks like a miniature pirates cutlass in a pocket knife! Can't wait for it to arrive. Great review Tobias. 👍

Did you say a subscription box for Rough Ryders is available somewhere? I've been thinking of emailing the idea to them, I would be into that. I searched it but can't find anything on it.

SMKW had a subscription box program that had Rough Ryders in it frequently. But I'm not aware of any other subscription box program for Rough Ryders.

Very cool covers on the RR stag bone line, some of the best I've seen from the SMKW lines! I think you are right about the moose pattern being underrated, it's quite handy! Thanks for sharing!

Ive just ordered the full sized version of this knife. Going to see how well it works for butchering snd skinning. Means i wont need to carry several butchering knives in my kit since i do my own butchering. And its just a real pretty knife!

This explains a lot Tobias. I recently got this in the Copperhead pattern (RR1807), and I'm delighted with the quality. It's good enough to push the GEC out of my pocket on occasion, and that's saying something!

Don’t have a mini moose yet... think I’d be more likely to carry the mini rather than the full sized version. Thanks a lot fro sharing

I like your mini moose, I think you are right it would make a good EDC. I managed to get what seems to be one of the last Brown Stag Bone Colt Gunstock jacks, it's so good looking I have decided not to use it. Also have full size Colt Mooses, the buckshot and the checkered collector, they too have gone into the keep'em mint drawer. Nice review.

Those Colt's are to find ans it might be my imagination but a still a shade better than old colts were brought into the RR line. If nothing else the Python Shield "C" is much cooler!

@@KnifeChatswithTobias I thought the quality was a little better too. I have also recently bought a couple of Winchester checkered bone knives that have the look of the RR factory but have 7Cr17MoV steel blades, the quality on those is a little better than the older RRs.
