I feel the same! Previously I would skip the stretch, save it exclusively for yoga days, or just do the same basic stretches and half ass them after a run. Now it has become such a treat, indeed!

Thanks for this vid. I've done 14K tempo run tonight and did stretch right afterwards, but still felt tight on the hamstrings, calves and glutes after going back home and taking shower. This is effective. I'm going to follow along your another video that address the tight glute issue.

Using these to get back into stretching Ash. Been training for a marathon and using your pre and post run stretches, I had to take a week off of running due to an ankle sprain so trying to sort the legs out after the break. I enjoy your videos, keep it up

I loved that so so so much! I am starting to get a spasm in my right leg. So I need some love in that one leg. I’m not getting far with the service from another provider. So I’ll be planning on using your if that is ok but I need to wait till January.

Made the seated twist with fingers to toe slightly more challenging by just reaching the free arm to the back, working core stability a bit. I liked the transition to the next twist.

Oh my gosh this targeted muscles I A) didnt know I could target, and B) got into that hip flexor area I was struggling to feel anything in. This feels really good on my hip too, as it's started to kind of twinge when I run (think its something with my feet), but at least my knee doesn't hurt any more 😂 Bit iffy on the 10 mins originally but that flew by, thank you for this!!

Really felt the benefit from this gentle stretch Ash as my calf muscle is feeling a bit sore at the mo, due to getting massive cramp whilst swimming why on earth does this happen🤔 ? Dehydration? Thanks very much as always!

hi ash! do you have any tips or info on hips hurting after a longer run? I find that around the 3.5 or 4 mile mark of a run my hips start to hurt, and get worse throughout the run. It's not ideal as I have a 10 miler next week! I always stretch before and after running, have rest days, and I am 24 years old, fairly fit and healthy so i'm not sure why I keep getting problems with my hips. (It's the front of my hips, not sure if it's the hip flexors or another muscle/tendon). would love if you have any info on this, and if you could do any stretching videos that focus on the hips? thanks so much!

Give this a go Rosemary and see if it feels like the area you feel the issue. Could be lack of strength in the hip flexors as you increase mileage. Your Hip Flexors aren’t just Tight they’re WEAK (follow along) kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHu4c56CZ9ygrqc

I have pain at the back of my knee. The outside hamstring tendon. Any advice would be appreciated.

That could be the sciatic nerve that you are stretching too much Jim. Unless it happened during the run. Don’t push too far into the stretches and if it gets worse seek advice from local professional.

Yes absolutely. If you’re able to locate which muscle feels tighter spend twice as long on that one, pause the video would help and over time you should start to balance out imbalances 😊
