You can always stretch with Ash even on non-run days, but knowing you pulled through and have this reward after is very motivating, indeed! Has definitely gotten me out there on some crummy weather days that ended up being stellar runs.

I attended a 10 km race today and managed to beat my own personal record with a finishing time of 48:57. Really proud of myself. Thank you for helping me stretch afterwards 😊

Lovely class! I liked rocking back and forth in the super wide lizard pose. Half frog with the quad stretch was also great, again, had to lift the thigh off the mat to feel it. The cue to point and flex the foot in half split was good, I went a step further and did ankle rotations in both directions while doing so and that felt amazing. The clicking in my ankle went away after rotations in the opposite direction. Thanks, Ash!

Morning Ash felt a bit stiff and achy after a 6 mile walk so this stretch was perfect, found it interesting when you said about office workers suffering tight hip flexors that's definitely true! Thanks very much as always and Happy Friday!

Thanks, Ash, as always. I couldn’t ask for a better running coach. I agree with everything you said about “connecting with your body.” Today’s run was full of those kinds of thoughts. I’m sure the way you think can change a lot about your run and your performance. I like to think about pain as “drops of autumn rain,” and while running, I imagine that I barely touch the ground, as if I’m running on a cloud or on cushions. It might sound silly, but why call it silly if it works, haha. Thanks for always reminding me to relax my jaw and shoulders, to keep my intensity at no more than 7 out of 10, and for asking how my run and my day have been so far. I’ve become more mindful about running thanks to your videos. As you mentioned, you had a great run, and so did I.

Thank you so much for that message. I’m so humbled that you have been able to connect more mindfully to your body whilst running from my videos. I love your thoughts about barely touching the ground. It absolutely is true. I once asked one of my clients to run thinking about work and filmed him and then got him to think about his posture and being light and quick and it totally changed his running form. Just from what he was thinking. Where you allow your mind to go determines our reality doesn’t it. Thanks again for your comments 😊

Woof. My long run this weekend was just too intense on the hills and I was not enjoying the 5km climb followed by shifty, rocky downhills. I was so tired when I got home I had to save this for just now and even going gently on it, I still feel tired! Looks like it’s corpse pose with my fluffy pooch for now 🙈 Love a good frog pose, though!

Needed that quad stretch for sure, but after the stretch my lower back spine discs felt a bit out of place. Might’ve pushed too hard on that sphinx pose :( but its not permanent so overall great stretch after a less than average run 😂
