Russian Forces Shocked! Hundreds of US Combat Vehicles Arrived in Ukraine

Between January 24, 2022, and January 15, 2023, the US sent 250 Humvees and 200 M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. The Bradleys have already been spotted in the Zaporizhzhia region in eastern Ukraine, according to reports from the Russian side. This means that President Biden fulfilled his promise to send 59 of these vehicles to Ukrainian forces. Although the Strykers were not spotted in the Ukrainian eastern plains, we can safely assume that they are also in the ranks of the Ukrainian motorized brigades, all 90 vehicles, as promised at the beginning of this year by the Biden administration.
Exceptional technological features of these vehicles. Their proven effectiveness in previous military actions, as well as their numbers (approximately 600 vehicles), will, without any doubt, be able to deal a serious blow to the Russian army, which still holds the occupied part of the Ukrainian territory in the east of the country.

Most of the stuff the US is giving to Ukraine was slated for replacement. It is at least 30 years old, sometimes 50. The M113 has proved itself to be a piece of junk already during the Vietnam war. The Humvee is a light skinned vehicle, it's ok but not meant for the front lines. Behind the lines, you can use a Toyota pickup, cheaper and more fuel efficient. The Bradley is good, the ones sent to Ukraine are not the most recent ones though. They lack some of the optics the most recent ones have. The costs cited by the US administration are replacement costs. I give you my beat up old pick up truck to help you and buy a new fancy one, and claim I have spent 50 000 dollars for you. On top of that, for much of the scrapped military gear, it is cheaper sending it to Ukraine than demilitarizing it and disposing of it within military standards (yes, there are strict rules and regulations for that). That said, the Ukrainians are grateful. A shitty M113 is better than no APC. The old German Gepard flakpanzer, although obsolete, has been invaluable for shooting Shahid drones. Better than shooting an expensive missile to destroy a cheap drone, the Gepard just fills the air with high velocity lead.

Do you know the amount of logistics it takes to move these vehicles, and to train for offensive operations? It is not easy. Wait a few weeks, you will be seeing them soon enough. All coordinated, all supplied, all defending each other, all supporting the front line offensive. The training takes years (aka from 2014). The Ukrainians are ready. If the Ukrainians do what they have been trained to do, not one Abrams or any other NATO heavy tank will be lost either. Pay attention to Crimea the next few weeks. @@Kaatu-barada-nikto well their cannon can destroy a btr or bmp at 3km and as they're quite tall so they have the advantage to pop up over a hill, hit a target and pull back. yeah, drones are gonna be a problem, but if you have extra distance between you and the opposition then its a issue which can be managed better.

@@Kaatu-barada-nikto No they aren’t. These are the 80’s-90’s versions yes, but they are still fast attacking vehicles that can shoot out of the range of the Soviet era tanks, bmd’s, and other apcs. This vehicle was made specifically for a European conflict.

I watched the video on the Russian BMPT, and well I dont think those tanks will stand up to them. We will see I guess. Wonder how well those vehicles do in deep mud? I guess the mud season is about to start and can get ugly, with vehicles sinking up to 12' Need an armored sherpa...

The 100 billion was 100 billion worth of equipment, not 100 billion in actual money. There was some minor amount of money given for humanitarian aid, but whenever you hear another military package for Ukraine being approved, it's just the value of the stocks of weapons we are sending. So if they say $2 billion it means the vehicles, ammo, drones, etc. are worth $2 billion, not that we're sending them $2 billion in dollar bills. Much of the stuff we have sent is old and was scheduled for decommissioning anyway, so it's probably cheaper to have it blown up on the battlefield fighting the foe for which it was intended than shoving more money into a defense contractor's pocket to properly dispose of it.

These are very good vehicles and we are very thankful to US for sending them! But I afraid there are too few of them. In Iraq US military have used over 2k Bradleys only against much less formidable enemy, and here we are talking about 600 of all of them. To get a better understanding, this is around a number of tanks that Ukrainians destroy each month in this war and that is not counting BMP, BTR or Humvee like vehicles. I know you are tired of this war, and we are super tired too. Send us 1k of Bradley we will finish it and return all vehicles back to US.

I just hope they are going to be trained correctly to use them. Because the biggest issue with the Russians is that the current battalions in Ukraine are not highly trained meat eaters. If the Ukrainians go in there with Bradleys supporting troops and other tanks with good training... the Russians are in for a disappointment. But... will that escalate things for the Russians.

The russians are doing all they can. This is their escalation. The Bradleys aren't in Ukraine yet. They're still training in Germany, and we can be pretty positive they won't leave there until the Cadre believe they're ready to fight effectively.

Humvees...M113...and the like, are better than nothing, but ....they won't have any truly decisive role in the Ukrainian war...! Why ? Because not a single Main Battle tank is included here ! You can't win a war without a Panzer division, be it composed of Abrams, or Leo 2, or Challenger 2, or Leclerc tanks ! It takes a Blitzkrieg type of offensive supported by close air power to deal a huge blow to the already groggy Russkies...! Anything less won't do the job.
