Up in the rust belt often it's nessesary to sawzall the bolts to remove the LCA! Enjoyed the video even though I've done this job a few times! All the torque values on the screen at once is great, ty!

Not sure if telling shows how much I appreciate your work and walkthroughs. It really helped me during my front end overhaul on the suspension.Though I still need to install the rear shocks and get an alignment,I drove my high miled 04 Titan yesterday with the new suspension and Bilstein 4600s and was blown away at how quiet and smooth it was. If I hadn't have watched any of your vids,I'd likely still be fighting off the rust and seized of an 18 year old truck on its original suspension that spent a good time up north before making its way to Texas.

Well luckily the hard parts over. The rears are a lot easier. I'm glad the videos helped man. I appreciate you watching.

This is great right up to removing the LCA mounting bolts. Mine, like many people's, are seized in the bushings. I decided to leave them and just replace the ball joint itself.

Aw man I really need to do this as mine is rusted like hell from all the years of winter salt roads lol and 230k km. Going to probably replace all the suspension up front and in the back as the leafs are quite flat + worn aside from being rusty and old, will try my best to follow your guides and also the frame rust removal / repainting and stuff :) Thanks for these videos man :)

Great video. Do you have any info on how to adjust the camber of the rear wheels. I got a 2013 Armada. The dealer advised to replace the lower control arm as the bushing was frozen. Is there a way to work around it? Without replacing the full control arm?

Great video. Quick advise, you should never hammer on the ball stud of the tie rod (or any ball and socket design) to get it loose if your going to reuse it. Best option is to hit the knuckle not the ball stud. Hitting the stud will introduce axial play in the joint leading to premature failure.

What do you think of your Titan as it compares to your Xterra? As an Xterra owner I often wonder how the Titan compares as a daily.
@jamesgarner28553 жыл бұрын
Xterra will be more comfortable to drive as a daily, have owned an 01 xterra, an 07 xterra and now an 08 titan.
@Rythecarguy3 жыл бұрын
I half agree with James. However I have a stripped down S Xterra and a top of the line LE Titan. The interior of the Titan is far more comfortable (leather, seat heaters, 8 way adjustable seats, auto climate control, etc) but the Xterra is MUCH easier to navigate in traffic, park, and put in the garage.

How does one determine when to change upper or lower CA?
@ethanberry83603 жыл бұрын
When you hear a lot of Squeaking front end.
@Rythecarguy3 жыл бұрын
It can definitely be squeaking. Also clunking and/ or wondering steering. It's really just examining it on a periodic basis and making sure it's not damaged or the bushing/ball joints are not bad.

Hi! Love your videos. I have two issues with 2011 X if you could help me just figure the faults: a) The AC works fine in all situations except only when I am reversing the car. As soon as I engage the reverse gear, the cooling stops. b) There is a free hose near the air filter box which looks like it came out of somewhere. I didn't notice the hose before, and it looks like it should connect somewhere. I have pics but dont know how to share with you. Any ideas? Much appreciated sir. :)
@northern30002 жыл бұрын
KHILADI, I assume that hose has a little bend at the top end (after it clips onto the airbox)? if so, that is not supposed to be connected to anything. In fact that hose is the Breather hose for your front differential. If you follow it down into the engine bay, you will see that it connects to the top of your differential.

Hello Ry the car guy, I'm currently changing out my lower control arm and one of the bolts is seized on. looks like I will need to cut it off. Where do you recommend to purchase replacement bolts?

I would buy SPC replacement cam bolts for better adjustments. You can get them all over the place. Amazon, Rock Auto, or your local parts store. The only catch is that you will need to get an alignment afterward.
