The blurry image really adds to the zoned out toddler POV, half asleep and without a thought going through it's mind, while his father rambles on about some dude named Carbs or something. Well done.

Watching everyone around you eat pizza and burgers while you eat your meal prep absolutely sucks but when you realize that instant gratification is what’s keeping you from being the person you want to become you slowly learn patience and then you realize that patience is the key to some of the greatest things in life.

Everything Sam said in the beginning of the video about making little substitutions like going for zero sugar soda and seeing big changes is soooo real. I’m about to be 29 and up until a couple months ago I had never tracked a calorie a day in my life…I would lift 3-4 times a week, get my steps in and led an active lifestyle, but I would sabotage myself by drinking full sugar soda and crushing fast food. At 5’8, I got up to about 250 and was pretty disheartened. Now, after opting for more zero sugar varieties (and obviously more water) and making turkey burger or chicken sandwiches at home and keeping up my activity, my body has changed drastically in a little over two months. The little changes matter!!!!

Red meat is one of the most nutrient dense foods you can eat. Liver is the one of if not the most nutrient dense there is. I used to eat up to 5lbs of carrots a week and never noticed any difference. I ate 1lb of liver over a 3 day period and my nightblindness was GONE! I think because the vitamin A in liver is active vitamin A (retinal) not beta-carotene which is just a precursor.
@ExplorerBen7
@ExplorerBen7 6 ай бұрын
@HalideHelix yes a huge change! I went from getting temporarily blinded when I drive at night from oncoming headlights even without looking directly at them to being able to look at the headlights without the blackout for a few seconds while my eyes readjust to the dark. I never noticed an improvement from eating carrots so I'm thinking I don't produce enough of the enzymes that convert beta-carotene to the active Vitamin A retinal for some reason.

300 pound obese guy here down from 330, 5' 8", very active, been rebounding with diets for god knows how long -- I'll say this about carnivore since sam mentioned it early in the vid. It absolutely works but it's really really really tough after about 1-2 weeks in. The energy levels were insane and more importantly the lack of hunger was astonishing. No cravings, my weight dropped like a stone down from 320 to 299.5 (every oz counts for me :'D) and still had solid energy for hard lifts in the gym, the only problem was after the 2nd week or so i loathed meal times: the smell of beef would make me nauseous and any upcoming meal didn't feel good at all -- but every other part of my life felt incredible. It was a weird compromise. Unfortunately it wasn't sustainable for me and the ricochet back into comfort/feelgood junk was a double edged sword. Right now the middle ground I find myself in is just low calorie/zero calorie options like Sam mentions (Soda's, Puddings/Jellos, powdered PB vs. full pb, etc.) and focusing on NON PROCESSED SHIT. The less "ingredients", the better. If I have to eat carbs it's ketogenic breads/buns and if it's a late breakfast right after a morning workout: rolled/steelcut oats. I also highly encourage you to find 2-3 "cheat" meals you would normally get from fast food places and find home version recipes of them so for your "cheat" meal you're still eating something wholesome and not hyper processed, rushed, and un-fresh. (For me it's "crunchwrap supremes": fat free cheese, light sour cream, extra avocado (or guac if you make it), lean ground beef. Or low carb chicken burgers with sweet potatos for "fries"). Fruit isn't banned anymore it's just prioritizing low glycemic stuff (berries, not bananas/pineapples/mangos, etc.) and fresh veggies are never a bad thing because your body still needs nutrition and fiber with the dark leafy stuff or the cruciferous stuff being king for that food group. Anyways rambles aside the tl;dr is, consistency above all else, track your fucking portions or you WILL forget, and if you've got the grit to go long term -- carnivore DOES work but any portioned/trackable diet with SINGLE INGREDIENT foods feels like a long term recipe of success not just for weight loss but for all the other things that will affect your drive for weight loss (your body, your energy, your mental health). If you're heavy like me and watching this video, I fucking feel for you. This shit is not easy but we're gonna make it.

So you gave up carnivore after 3 weeks? Lol that isnt even a solid effort Sad to see so many people controlled by food and would rather stay in the cycle of living to eat rather than living to eat. I say this because I was 430lbs and went full carnivore I lost 200 lbs in a year and still on carnivore started at 430 and stopped losing weight at 230lbs. Now eating 3 meals a day on carnivore and have gained 30lbs of lean muscle in 3 months. So just tell people you have a weak mind rather than saying you tried carnivore and it wasnt for you, lol you gave up on the hardest part

You nailed it Sam @6:00-6:40. I remember Hafþór Björnsson saying in an interview onetime he buys and eats all kinds of meats but red meats in particular he fancies because, by his logic, “If you want to get big, eat big animals. “ Nutritionally beef has a lot more going for it than chicken does. Chicken will win on the protein ratios every time but a lot of folks sleep on red meat fearing cancer, heart attacks ect. Everyone loves a juicy ribeye but you can’t beat a good old eye of round or top round for lean steaks… and they’re super cheap like $4-5 for 1.5lbs steak.

A female trying to cut here. this is my first vid ive seen of him. omg his voice is so soothing i love it. and I like how he's just doing his thing, quietly. Not loud or abnoxious. Hope he doesn't change this way.

I’m Gluten free to support my hubby who is allergic to gluten, so I wish I could make a protein bun gluten free. I could eat them, but it’s too risky to bring them into the house. Starting my first cut after tracking all food (macros, calls, fiber, and certain vitamins), exercise, and sleep for 366 days for my own health. I’ve increased my movement, hit prs lifting heavy, and learned about maintenance calories, how to adjust maintenance, and these videos are great to know the lifestyle can be done!

Recently dated a woman like that (about 2 months ago was when we broke it off), was super annoying eating/going out to eat with her. She hated vegetables and a lot of other commonly healthy options. The most picky eater I've ever met, and her main diet was sugary foods just about every day. We dated for 6 months and she got larger over that span of time and would never want to talk about food or her diet because it "set her off". I don't think I'll ever date a woman like that or close to it again.

I lifted from 30 to 35. I'm going to be 44 in June. I'm seriously thinking to start back up again. Sam's inspiring. And how he explains food. Which I struggled with wile lifting. I just know how expensive food can get. Thanks Sam for the advice. And my only problem is I'm gonna have to cut out my chocolate milk consumption I'm drinking a half gallon of whole chocolate milk a day.If I get a buncha likes and if Sam likes this comment in gonna start tomorrow! 😉

Everything's so blurry and everyone's so fake And everybody's empty and everything is so messed up Preoccupied without you, I cannot live at all My whole world surrounds you, I stumble and I crawl You could be my someone, you could be my scene You know that I'll protect you from all of the obscene I wonder what you're doing, imagine where you are There's oceans in between us, but that's not very far Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away? Well, you shoved it in my face This pain you gave to me Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away? Well, you shoved it in my face Everyone is changing, there's no one left that's real So make up your own ending and let me know just how you feel 'Cause I am lost without you, I cannot live at all My whole world surrounds you, I stumble then I crawl You could be my someone, you could be my scene You know that I will save you from all of the unclean I wonder what you're doing, I wonder where you are There's oceans in between us, but that's not very far Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away? Well, you shoved it in my face This pain you gave to me Can you take it all away? Can you take it all away? Well, you shoved it in my face This pain you gave to me Nobo-, nobody told me what you thought Nobody told me what to say Everyone showed you where to turn Told you when to run away Nobody told you where to hide Nobody told you what to say Everyone showed you where to turn Showed you when to run away Can you take it all away?
