I think bias is unavoidable especially when your surrounded by it. I think its already amazing that these tourists are coming to China to see for themselves rather than being trapped in their own echo chamber. Not to say that China is perfect- it absoloutely has problems but it's certainly not the dystopia a lot of people think it is so I respect anyone who comes to see for themselves!

07:31 Great wall was used to barracked the barbarians from the north, so there were many garrisons stationed. The watch towers are also signal towers, if one tower spot barbarian, they will light up fire, let smoke to warn other towers near by. However, this section of the Great Wall was built during China's Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), so it is not as old as 2000 years, but approximately 400-600 years old. The parts of the Great Wall that date back 2000 years can still be found in some places in northwest China as remnants. These sections are not built with bricks but are made of earth. However, it's understandable that foreigners might not grasp these historical details, just as few Chinese people have a deep understanding of ancient Greek or Roman history.
