As a Texan, I’m constantly commenting on and advocating for some element of heat and spiciness be added to some of his dishes: jalapeños, chipotles, Tobasco, cayenne pepper, or something. I advocated for sautéed jalapeños on the last “Samburger” he made.

When I make Monkey bread, I use Cinnamon Rolls instead. It saves the step of the sugar/cinnamon mixture and coating. And instead of white sugar for the coating, I use brown sugar. It really does caramelize better. As a bonus, when it is done cooking and still warm, I spread the icing over the top. It's the best MB you could ever have!!
