I have a spelling difficulty when it comes to vowels. For example, I hear words with multiple ways of spelling the vowels like: Repetition, repitition, repatition. Composition, compistion, compesition. Connotation, connitation, connatation, connetation. Lavender, lavander, lavinder. Delirious, dilirious. Taxidermy, taxedermy, taxadermy. Predator, preditor. Shenanigans, shinanigans. Constellation, constillation. I spell things the way I hear them, but as a child I grew up with my northern Irish mums accent, my Australian dad's accent, British and American tv, and my mum's friends & their kids who had immigrated to Australia as well. And on top of that, apparently my first primary school didn't teach me vowels properly. So growing up I had a Northern Irish Australian mixed accent, but I can hear vowels in multiple ways and it fucks with my spelling.
