Season '24 opening first 11second 1/4mile and new PB for my 2.5tdi!

First time trying 1/4mile for season '24. New personal best, two 12.02 runs with 189kmh+ trap speed and one 11.90 with early shut off and 186kmh+.

Pretty normal setup. Two hybrid k03s, s362sxe, stock modified intake, custom log style exhaust manifolds and 3.5" exhaust.

Really interested in 100-200km/h times. Low to mid 8s? It was roughly 7.22s from 100-190km/h according to speedo (which isnt accurate, as we know :D) Maybe time for Dragy?

@@heavyweight6440that happened by accident. I was just pulling to highway ramp and making something like 100 to 160 pull but it felt decent so did pull all the way 😅

@@bigdiffas But still. I mean you have to shift into 5th, but 8.5s is quick. Fastest 2.5 TDi in at least Europe I think :D What are the next things you're working on. Making it ready for 1/4 mile runs? Would love to see alot of them and see how the car performs if you really smack it.

@@heavyweight6440 main goal was to 7s at 1/8 and 11s at 1/4...an go under 10s 100-200. Both done in first hits so now i have go deeper 11s and 7s. 😅

Does that work with Diesels at all? With petrol cars you cut the ignition, but how to do that with a Diesel? Reduce injection quantity to keep RPM constant when pressing clutch?

@@heavyweight6440 on stock ecu its probably not possible. There is brake switch input on ecu to cut fueling but that is too slow to react I heard from tuner. I did try run just holding pedal on floor and it work as it on higher gears

@@bigdiffas I mean the 2.5 TDi has a clutch switch (same as brake switch i guess) when the car has/had cruise control. But I also think, that the ECU cannot process that. I know nothing about programming ECUs, but if the car had cruise control it has to be able to change fueling quantites by itself, if it (for example) drives up or down a hill. It might be possible to adapt this behaviour to the cruise control section of the ECU, but its probably easier to use something like EMUblack or maxxECU...

I think if you drive it like you would drive a stock 2.5 TDi, you would be under 10L/100km by far. Probably like 9.xL/100km. Maybe even 8.x if you really go slow.
