Get a Honda or Miata. Both can be had for very cheap ($500-$3000 US) they are super easy to work on and are super reliable. I know as car guys we are always wanting the top of the line cars (Supra, STI, EVO, Cobra, ext) but for someone just starting out with little to no experience working on cars and on a limited budget you cant go wrong with the Honda/Miata option.

I gotta say, that pretty awesome. I wish cars like this were cheap in Lithuania. Also, any car that has right side steering, has to be registered in Lithuania prior to 1993, which blows. Can't drive cars like this, unless you switch the steering column to the left, and even then, unless it's done perfectly, it won't pass vehicle inspection. Strict rules... So, you are lucky.

Proper 180, US translation, proper 240, lol. Mine cost me $650, was last licensed in 04, and 5000 miles later the fuel pump went out and sat until I bought it in Feb 2013. After fixing everything (Fuel pump, brakes, clutch, fuel filter, fuel regulator, driver side window regulator, driver seat that broke, every exterior light, etc..), I'm in it now for $1500, been driving it for a year, and it's a 15% new car lol.

Actually, the 240SX had a different engine, the KA24DE. The 180SX only came with a CA18DET, SR20DE, or of course the SR20DET. It was called the 180SX for its original 1.8 liter displacement (before going to the SR engine) and the 240SX likewise for its 2.4 liter engine.

No the guy admitted to it being a regular 240sx. It started as a drift project and slowly turned into a show car. Rear wheel drive is safer in an emergency too, no under steer. It cost the guy $5000 for a professional body shop to custom fit the entire front end. Though I have been leaning towards getting bone stock 240. The civic is worth quite a bit more than all of the 240sx's for sale around victoria.

It's easy just look around on your local used item websites. I bought 3 cars for a total of $570 CDN. Plus the repairs and towing it was around $1200. Then I sold 2 of them for a combined price of $1400, so I made $200 and I also got a great running and practical car. So I spent the $200 I made on another car gutted it and put it into the one car I have had since nearly the beginning.
