Great start, great start! Really loving just how different the party is, both because of the players kind of picking the opposites (Jill going from ranged murder machine to fighter with some magic, Kelly from a sorcerer to a kinda serious and cool swashbuckler, and Joe from tanky fighter to magical powerhouse) and because of the characters' personalities and the beginnings of their dynamics. (Particularly liking to see Kelly not playing a "comic relief inept" sort of character - really wanted him to run a more in-control, cooler PC whose comedic bits mostly come from bad rolls or the funnier uses of the "list of rules"; in the same vein, love seeing Joe's take on a competent-but-kinda-humorous character side by side!) They're not fully in their stride yet, but I see them hitting their pitches already - I think this will prove to be a fine party. And the same goes for the tone and setting - man, this table sure has an affinity for horror-y theming, proving that you very much can run a dark and disturbing and pretty horror-y campaign in 5E without impinging on the "heroic fantasy" side of things; it reminds me of the earlier Drakkenheim campaign stages but in an even "grittier", down-to-brass-tacks sorta way, and it works very well at this phase of the setting. Almost all of it is courtesy of Monty's great storytelling and DMing, so hats off there, you're continuing to be an inspiration to me as a hopeful future DM. I really hope this tone persists for some time - eventually it'll have to shift, but it's perfect for "chapter one". Excellent work with making the delirium and stuff feel properly disgusting and disturbing and wrong, in a truly horror style, Monty! Also, have to say that, while it may seem strange for Rudi the Red Rending Hood to be this hardcore right away (Jill sure likes this style of characters! Nothing wrong with it.), to me it kinda fits - this is part of why she's so respected and held in awe, and she shows this hardcore side when dealing with real, serious trouble. As others said, great use of "Color Out of Space" sorta things - it does things almost as well as the story itself, which is good praise for a TTRPG session. With some nice side bonuses of Darkest Dungeon's likewise-inspired Color of Madness content - the giant they're hunting almost gave me the Thing from the Stars vibe, albeit more humanoid. All together, the Warhammer Fantasy sorta world theming and "cosmic horror" Lovecraftian threats and the way the characters are performing so far really do make this party feel like a Darkest Dungeon squad, in a good way. Really looking forward to more! Particularly if they do end up going from town to town, dealing with some sort of incursion or plot or the like! One note I have to make, though, is that the sound, while pleasantly decent in volume (keep that up!), felt a bit "fuzzy" and almost static-y around the edges. The same goes for the custom theme you got - it's almost like it's at a lower bitrate than it should be. It's not a huge issue - I only detect this thanks to my sound hardware being upgraded, and it's probably totally fine on phones or other such devices - but thought I'd let you know. P.S. Please make the Ducks a bonus encounter one way or another. Perhaps delirium will make them mutate into Untitled Geese? Also, I know it may be wrong, but I hope Rudi's family survives the events. 10 kids give a lot of temptation to kill off one or more, but I'm definitely rooting for them all to survive.

What an EEEEEPIIIIC opening you've got for this new season. "... their flock murdered in a myriad of perpendicular ways..." Perpendicular Ways? That sounds pretty darn C'thonic... Oh, and a colour..? A colour unlike any known to man?! I think that Kelly needs to get some moustache wax; but I am enjoying his Sean Conner accent (or is that Peter Serafinowicz playing the Tick?)
