I understand why Steve was pissed. If not for Steve's offer of 20%, the other Sharks would have taken a Minimum of 30% (15% each). Steve gave them exactly what they asked for, causing the other Sharks to match his offer. Then the entrepreneurs just ignore this and choose someone else. Kind of disrespectful but perfectly acceptable for the Shark Tank. PS: Steve usually gives the most respectable offer, and frowns upon other Dragons trying to exploit entrepreneurs.

So silly for not picking Steve, Sandra wanted Andrew and got Andrew only cause she liked him. Brendan wanted steve but sandra was too stubborn to pick steve, she just wanted her way. Steve was obviously the better partner, you could tell he really wanted to be a part of the business. Not really silly. You got to see what qualifications they bring to the table. Steve just brings his investment knowledge. Were he has made investments which had huge returns but other then that he doesn't really bring anything else to the table. He's definitely not in this market so no advertisement doesn't know anything about babies dolls so can't give any advice. So it was smart for them to pick 2 sharks.
@ethantalevski4040
@ethantalevski4040 3 жыл бұрын
Matthew Hankins mate i don’t know if your living under a rock but generally you don’t make critical business decisions based of your “personal preference”, aka ‘who you would like to work with’ or ‘who you like more as a person’. i might be stereotypical and making assumptions but i believed sandra had a tunnel vision approach coming into the tank looking to work with andrew ‘as she said when they stepped out to talk about who to pick’ where’s brendan mentioned steve’s offer and was happy to take his offer. realistically sandra didn’t really want to give steve the time of day even though steve was the most beneficial partner for them. glen was just a tag along with andrew because steve didn’t want to partner up with andrew. if you re watch the video you’ll see steve’s curiosity, engagement and excitement about sandra’s and brendan’s fantastic product. having 2 sharks isn’t necessarily better, both andrew and glen were both initially looking to capitalise on there fantastic business for more ownership of the business. although glen and andrew went down to 10% each, i just don’t see them as being ideal partners for the business. just cause steve has other investments in the medical space doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand how things work. im sure all sharks can adapt to different markets if they needed to, that’s why there all successful entrepreneurs today! to sum it up steve would be able to access his connections quicker, due to his other investments he would have easy accessible contacts, steve also mentions something about a south african company/organisation that would purchase 1 million of them. allowing them to scale quickly and capitalise on a bigger market.

I would have picked steve up anyday even at 33% this is business... not who's nice and good looking... the woman clearly wanted Andrew because of his good looks... choosing the right partner is important and If I was Steve, I would have been out simply because their criteria for choosing a partner was not good. the guy was enthusiastic about it, gave them what they came for, had all the excitement and he was pissed off because he knew what he could do for them. Steve is usually always the shark that's right on the money when it comes to a fair deal, always tells other sharks when they're being greedy, sure he lacks the charisma, but he's the most genuine of them all.

"the woman clearly wanted Andrew because of his good looks" is an absurd statement and I would say even misogynistic because you say that only because she seems to be calling the shots and not her husband. You wouldn't have said that if the husband had made the same decision. Newsflash: Andrew is not there for his looks. He's there because he's a fucking businessman with connections in the US. Yes, Steve may have more connections in the medical industry than Andrew and Glen, but they clearly preferred to have two sharks instead of one. In any case, whatever their connections, this product will sell itself, so two is better than one.

Steve was willing to give them exactly what they asked, but Sandra Moffatt was biased for Glenn. I could tell Brendon Moffatt wouldve taken the offer from Steve on the spot. After Sandra asked Steve if he was willing to pair up and he said "No" simply because he thought him alone deserved the deal because he offered what they want, Sandra wrote him off.
