It simply is not possible today, to even begin to appreciate just how big this song was back in the Spring of '62. I was 15 y/o, a 2nd semester Sophomore in Denver, at South High School. ------This song, on then KTLN, 1250 AM, was SO big, IT SEEMED TO BE PLAYED EVERY 30 MINUTES ! In Denver, it was the #2 song of the year on KTLN. --------David Rose's hit song, " The Stripper", was #1 in Denver that year. It seemed to me that at South High, EVERY girl, was singing this song ! But then, there had to be 100 songs written about guys named " Johnny ". VERY popular name ! --------I have the 45, & I admit it------I liked it then, & do so still, today in 2024. It's just a great song. Recorded at Gold Star, with The Blossoms on back-up, & with The Wrecking Crew. 60's teen angst, at it's very best. -------------MJL, 77 y/o

When I first listtened to this song back in the early 1960's as a little boy this is one of the songs that stuck in my mind and favorite for me. I'm in my mid 60's now and hope I hear this song when I ascend into heaven. Music today that young people are listening to since the 1990's are so evil and vile; most of it condescending, racist, sexist and anti-social.

To Mr David Tizler: Bravo to You Mister Maestro, for putting Such a Great Video Tribute Together about MS Shelley Fabre s. I'm now Fast approaching My 65th Birthday in September of 2023, and Although Miss Fabre s was Ten years Older than I. IT was First Seeing Her on the Donna Reed Show in the Mid Sixty's? That I acquired My First Crush on a Girl, and it was Her. Cuz watching every Episode of that Great Show? Was almost a Perfect day or Devine Intervention of a Sorts, for My Two Older Sister's and Me. OH the Thoughts 🤔🤔 I would Conger Up thinking of Her being Our Babysitter Until My Oldest Sister of Four years could Watch my other Sister, & I while Our Parents were Out. On an Occasional Date for Themselves. Her Looks we're So Angelic, Pure, & like that of an Angel, who was Right Next Door. OHH Man, what a KnockOut She Was? And literally Still Is Fifty Plus Year's Later. FYI,"Coach" with Craig T Nelson, would have Stunk without Her in the Role, of Christine, the GF and the One Jerry Van Dick, was always getting Hoodwinked by. When She was Acting it all Seemed so Apparently Natural? I'd of

This is for me, the best song she ever sang. She sounds so sincere as she sings the lyrics, and the song is a dreamy song, appropriate to a young girl like she was then, and still one of my favorites, through the years.

She was on "The Donna Reed Show" (1958-1963) and the sitcom "Coach" (1989-1997) which earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations. Her recording of "Johnny Angel" reached number one (#1) on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on April of 1962. It was a certified Gold Record, selling over a million copies. I was in eight grade at Miami Springs Junior High School when this song was popular
