1:10:05 I have the Stiletto TiBone 15 and after swinging it, I do in fact know what being God feels like. Most hammers are made of steel and lose about 30% of their power when you hit the nail (which goes through your arm). Titanium only loses about 3% of their power which means my 15oz titanium hammer swings with the power of a 22oz steel hammer and is obviously significantly lighter which helps with arm fatigue. After picking it up for the first time I was like “no way this works” and after hitting my first nail, I am now God

As someone who spent the last year working on The Wild Robot, I'm mildly disappointed with David's take on it. Summing it down to that it's bad for me because it's a kids movie when at it's heart it's focused on the struggles of raising a child and letting them go into the world, it's unfortunate to hear his view just stayed on "but it's for kids". I'm not saying he has to like it, that's fine. I just expected David, as being someone who is behind the lens compositing shots all the time that I'm surprised he saw it from such a narrow perspective. My response doesn't take everything he said into consideration fairly, but its a personal bummer to me as I thought the final project was beautiful for all ages. But art is subjective and in the eye of the viewer.
@bethanyharrison3310Ай бұрын
Based on many of the comments I've seen defending how actually the movie was deeply meaningful and layered for accessibility to such a broad audience, I absolutely plan on seeing it in theater with my young children soon. And like... We never go to the theater. So somewhat ironically, his narrow take has led to lots of lovely insights from commenters that (I hope) more accurately represent the film's reception.

I was also thinking "Did we watch the same film?" He said it was a cheerful, happy movie where all the animals work together with no "gripping story". Also he was wrong about it being orchestral the entire movie since during the montage there was a pop song playing, which still fit the themes of the film. I trust him for tech reviews, but never let him cook for movie reviews.
