@3:20 exactly the double standards. It felt fair to you to split equally because you were earning more as you graduated first. So your then partner who was earning less and yet has to split equally. Yet subsequently when your then partner started earning more than you, all of a sudden it becomes unfair for you to pay an equal share. Seems like you're the calculative one (in terms of paying) in the relationship. @5:40 second example of a double standard. Males are expected to provide when earning 5-6x more. Yet when females are the one earning 5-6x more, the hemming and hawing starts.

when i asked her, she said it's chinese custom. only then she started paying for some entertainment expenses. So i started asking her out less and then she complained. When I were paying for most stuffs, she grumbled and complained that she's lost time and money from dating me. It started 1st Jan 2024 and I am going to end it by 99th day and next year same time I can afford buying my own 2br condo. Pretty sure I wont be alone for long thereon.

It's an investment. It's not about paying all the time. It's about building something with someone and wanting to share what you have with them. The same way that as a woman, if I am really serious about a man, I need to be concerned with his needs and wants. I have mean who want sex after taking me out for coffee. First date, guy paid for the meal I paid for coffee. 😆 in a relationship he will pay most of the time. After married he paid all the time.😂 hub is earning 5 figure so I do think he should be the one paying.

It is understandable if the men pays, since they generally earns more. But of course, the ladies should also be more accommodative in terms of physical intimacy since it is a mutually beneficial relationship. Although some women do prefer more to be equal partners. Which is fine too!!! Edit: For higher income women, then it becomes a bit weird since there is no such cultural tradition for Asians
