The pollen problem is actually because the majority of the trees around major cities are all male trees because they don't want female trees to be pollinated and become fruitful because then that means that the public can get fruit and things from them. So because there are so many male trees with no place for their pollen to fertilize, it stays in the air

the no fruits in town is not just to be a**holes, its' to do with mess and danger the fruits can cause. fruits that would fall from the trees would be a tripping hazard the town could be sued for, would attract insects and animals, would smell, etc so need to be cleaned up and maintained all the time.

Sad but true story: I was pregnant with my daughter and my ex and I were going through a hard time during our relationship (obv).
