i mean the zinc is pretty good and if the tongkat and other thing really increase testosterone tremendously why not. But the ones sold by derek have way too low quantities you'd need like 6 capsules a day and that would run through the bottle in like 40 days so ultimately it's cheaper to just buy gear lol

@@JanoyCresva except almost NO other fitness salesman knows anything about the products they push. They are just that - salesman, but without having done extensive research over yrs, as well as personal experience etc. Im not gonna buy a test booster and thats not what Derek is trying, he wouldnt recommend me a test booster bc im not in one of the specific situations where a product like this COULD (that means it can maybe, of you are lucky and if your body reacts good) possibly help. Thats everything but a classic salesman. Also you obviously have no fucking clue about Derek and his channel here how he started on KZbin, how he grinded like a madman, how he put in the work big time, how he always tried to stay objective and evidence based. The ONLY critique i had about Derek really so far is his Athletic Greens sponsoring/pushing. I think that product is extremely overpriced and shit bc of the propietary blend. I already wrote a comment about this once. And im following and watching MPMD since many years.

@@starmorpheus not as much as I'd like. I tend to go back and read the articles I'm personally interested in, like the ones relating to mental illness, or when I want to start taking a new supplement he talks about, like fish oil. So far I haven't come across any red flags in those, and the research seems solid. However, I tend to take his word for other things (like diet) because it really isn't that interesting to me, so I can't account for the quality of the studies he cites there.

Hey Derek, awesome looking product! Have you thought about doing a clinical trial of your supplements yourself? Like paying a researcher to do a "small" double-blind, placebo controlled study with around 100 people? The dependent variable of course being Total T & Free T (with maybe also having subgroups of "weight training" and "no training", since I guess there could also be an interaction with lifestyle) If the efficacy is anywhere near the numbers that Huberman and the literature suggest, you should easily get a statistically significant result with such a "small" sample size.

In reading about the ingredients, and purchasing Sigma, I came across another herb that has been studied fairly extensively. Just read a meta-analysis on Kaempferia Perviflora and the verifiable effects are significant increases in grip strength, increased erectile response, increased brown adipose catabolism, and an uptick in endogenous nitric oxide production, as well as analgesic effects on par with OTC nsaids. At six months, doses even up to 100x the efficacious dose in mice showed no signs of organ lesions. Pairing with Sigma for the. . . uh. . . grip strength. . . It’d be cool to get your take on Kaempferia, too.

The fadogia segment is so damn exciting to hear. I’m about to begin my trt protocol soon and knowing that i possibly won’t have to introduce HCG into my trt (possibly “sports” trt) level of hormone supplementation is so dope. @@somethingginterestingg4275 I’m only interested in the HCG-esque properties of the fadogia agrestis component. From what I listened to so far, fadogia agrestis acts as an LH mimic and having an orally bioavailable version of HCG (a known LH mimic) just sounds attractive…and by the very off chance that everything else in SIGMA works synergistically with fadogia, I think it’s be a worthwhile purchase for someone on TRT. Derek just concluded that it might not have that dramatic an effect for a person on anabolics, but some anecdotal evidence online of people maintaining testicular function and size while shutdown by exogenous testosterone usage, backs up what Derek said about fadogia agrestis and its effects on testicular function.

None of these guys could tell you what to do without lab results. If yget blood tests with lab results, you could easily identify what vitamins and minerals you are deficient in and start adding them to your diet. Then, get all your hormone levels tested and start supplementing for deficiencies there as well. This is the only way to know what's actually going on with your body and what else might be needed. Outside of that, eat your macro nutrients and exercise at least 3 days/week.

Late comment here, but again, like Derek and Huberman mentioned, this is not going to be anywhere near the ballpark of using gear, this is just a booster that will give an extra hand to test especially if you have got an optimised lifestyle and perhaps not getting enough D3, magnesium, zinc from diet. TRT is a long-term commitment that has severe side effects (nothing against it, but it is important to know that it shuts down your fucking balls amongst other things). You are NOT going to feel that big of an effect. Having said that ,the chance is small that Sigma is going to do harm to your body (if titrated and cycled as instructed). So it is up to you, if you have the financial resource for it I don't see a reason why you wouldn't try it. Personally, I felt a very small but still noticeable effect in recovering a little bit faster and getting less tired after work shifts and getting one more rep in during workouts, its not amazing but it is something and I'm happy with that.

Hey Derek, with these product breakdowns would you be willing to do a breakdown on some of the blood tests offered by Merek Health for people looking to get a test done but are hesitant due to not knowing what all of the biomarkers are and not knowing what the measurements of them would mean. A breakdown of what each biomarker is, why it's important, what range of measurements are optimal, and how they tie in with a TRT/hormone optimization protocol would be extremely helpful. I know you can't legally give medical advice, so if any of that counts as advice it would be understandable if you didn't speak about it.

Big fan of the channel Derek, subbed on multiple accounts now. I plan to use your blood lab testing protocol, get a nice baseline of a blood profile so I know what I am working with. I am a 39 y/o male who had a long period of depression, weight gain, and alcoholism. I am sober two years now and I am taking my health very seriously now. Last time I did a complete blood profile was with my primary care doctor 8 months ago and he just said my Test levels were fine. But for me, wanting to compete in some boxing matches potentially, while also losing weight, and build muscle, increase memory retention. It seems advantageous to give your product (Sigma) a try if needed. I need to wait for some fundulation to come in, but I will surely be taking this seriously, I think you have a history of coordinating a quality lab service that can help me out. I really want to know my test and free test levels. Then do a follow up a few months later after taking Sigma (if indicated). I don't want to use TRT, HCG, or any altering chemical that could affect my own long-term Test production, synthesis, and expression. I already eat fairly healthy, take zinc, magnesium, and a balanced intake of polyunsaturated, mono-unsatured, and saturated fats to aid my body's own production. Cheers

@@doost7846 The advantage of taking them separately, is that I could monitor which supplement was doing what. The downside is it's super expensive. Ashwagandha made me anxious which isn't good because I have problems with getting to sleep. Tongkat Ali / Fodogia and DHEA (not in this supplement) did raise my total T by 120-150 ng/dl over 2 different blood tests. BUT, my issue is low free and estrodial, not so much total. Boron had a small, but direct impact on free T. The best thing I took was the magnesium and L Theanine that improved my quality and length of sleep which had the greatest impact on all hormones. So I ditched the Ashwagandha, Tongkat, and Fadogia and kept the sleep health style nootropic stack. Moral of the story is there are different reasons for hormones not being dialed in...sleep had the most impact on me. If a Testosterone booster fucks your sleep, then it's counter intuitive. The best way to do it, is try these things one by one and do blood test while monitoring symptoms. Or just buy this stuff and see what happens. Might be all good. If not, you won't know which supplement is causing your issue.

The Tongkat is 400mg at 200:1 in yours, but the Tongkat Huberman mentioned that he used is 400mg of just the root, not an extract. Does that mean that you have 80,000mg worth of Tongkat root in yours, or you have 400mg worth of the root at a 200:1 concentration so it's squished into 2mg of actual product? Hi Derek! Would taking sigma be a good choice for someone taking finasteride that just wants to maximize the testosterone levels in order to make up for the lack of dht? Thanks for all your valuable content!

Be careful if the boron because it increases DHT. I took some alone and got a pretty big shed once, although I was taking 10 mg of it, which is maybe too much for someone with MPB. I would stick to taking the minimum dosage and see how that works. I’m pretty nuclear with my regimen so I might be able to hold off that off with RU added with fin. I’m also using topical dut that I only use sparingly.

I have been taking TOngkat Ali, mondia whitei and sometimes Huanarpo Macho + black maca which is pretty crazy I havent tested my T Levels but you can feel the energy levels up and youre kinda stronger in the gym and a little quicker lean, I can imagine mixing tongkat and fadogia in one capsule is pretty strong stuff, I take them separately on different days

I was really considering this or some other product. After testing with Marek I noticed my LH and FSH was as low normal as my other hormones, hypogonadal in T and E2. I been on TRT for 5 weeks and it's helped a lot. Could Sigma? Possible. My Magnesium and Zinc were great though. Vitamin D was in the deficient range and taking high IU from doc for that too. Either way I'm glad I been watching MPMD before and since starting.

Derek! What are your thoughts on using sigma or these ingredients as a PCT?
@nickstrasser6173
@nickstrasser6173 2 жыл бұрын
I just received my bottle of sigma this week. I ordered the comprehensive male blood work through Marek health and will get that prior to starting. Upon receiving the draw instructions, I checked my multivitamin and it has Biotin in it. I’ll wait 72hrs to draw. Per Dr Mark Gordon on JRE I started taking pure encapsulations multi: Ultranutrient, as well as quercetin, Vit D, zinc, etc in 2020. After listening to the latest Huberman Lab podcast with Dr Gillett, I’m wondering if I should eliminate the ultranutrient and quercetin from my stack. They discussed turmeric/curcumin being a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor and Dr Huberman recalled severe effects when he took turmeric in the past-the ultranutrient multi contains 100mg turmeric/serving. Dr Mark Gordon discussed the importance of having an ionphore to increase the uptake of zinc, but now I’m wondering if the potential for increased zinc uptake is worth the potential inhibition of 5AR. What are your current thoughts or recommendations on ionopohores like quercetin turmeric etc?

I’m on day 6 of taking Sigma, 4 capsules a day and I’m starting to feel it. 3 weeks before I started taking it I started taking zinc, D&D3, and magnesium supplements. Plus taking citrulline, fish oil and coq10. So all those supplements may have helped also. Oh and I was drinking 5 or 6 days a week and quit two weeks ago. I haven’t been in the gym in like 17 years and I’ve been on methadone for 16 years. I didn’t get any bloodwork done but I have all the symptoms of low testosterone. On average men on methadone have 1/4 the testosterone levels as man the same age not on it. I’m 41 and didn’t want to start TRT just yet. Right now my financial situation isn’t the best and there would be no guarantee I could afford to stick with TRT consistently. So I started doing research and found Sigma after finding out about the two main ingredients. I’m starting to feel great and actually have motivation to do activities. Usually I would be struggling to do anything and would have to push myself. I actually feel motivated to work out. Unfortunately I have an umbilical hernia I got after gaining weight and getting my beer belly. So I can’t lift heavy weights but I will try to do what I can until I have surgery. I’m only on day 6 and can’t wait to see how much better I feel after a few weeks. I’m really glad I started looking into the effects of methadone and what I could do to help my testosterone level. If anyone is suffering from low testosterone levels Sigma may help you.

After 16 years I think you'd be good to switch over to bupe. From what I've seen, studies show it has little to no impact on T compared with methadone
@JayP7.62
@JayP7.62 Жыл бұрын
@@padraics Why would I switch to buprenorphine after this long on methadone? Even if I did you can’t just switch. You basically have to have all the methadone build up from years out your system to be able to take buprenorphine. You can’t mix the two. It puts you in instant withdrawal symptoms. Been there. If I’m gonna make that big a commitment to stay home and not be able to go to work from withdrawal I’ll take a little more time off and quit. I’m gonna save up to get off with ibogaine.
