Good day to you Dr.Hui. I have just done this gigong routine which was great. I seem to have a problem with my immune system, having had 4 rounds of bronchitis since Jan. til May after just having a slight cold. Now last week, Thurs I started feeling a slight sore throat, and a cough starting.By the evening I had a temperature of 37.5 and was very tired.Have been home feeling OK, so decided to go to work.My co workers heard my voice & sent me home.I did a Covid test which was positive.Now I have a cold.I need to prevent this from becoming Bronchitis again. I do Qigong every morning.Take Vit C, D Zinc black Sambuc ,Propolis/ Echinacea. This needs to stop. I am female , aged 71.Never had a year like this.

@mingchan63003 жыл бұрын
Thank you teacher Alex. Are all these exercises done with breathing through the nose into the dantian ( core, lower abdomen) and breathing out from the dan tian through the nose or through the mouth - and if the later, the chui ( like in blowing out the candle) or with the 'ha' ( sighing) sound? How many times for each exercise?

I’ve been doing the 8 brocade daily for about a month. Mostly all physical with minimal emphasis on mental due to watching DVDs and have little understanding. But I wonder with some of these other techniques for like taiji qigong where does the negative energy go? For example am I “polluting” the ground or space if giving off this “negative” energy? I like to think nature “recycles” this so I am not imaging polluting my garden space and harming my land or home. Maybe plants grow from it??? Like our carbon dioxide is food for them. What are your thoughts?
@DrAlexHui4 жыл бұрын
8 Brocades is a very good Qi Gong exercise. It is ok to be physical at first in the learning stage, especially when we are just following or memorizing the movements. But once we are familiar with the moves, start focusing on the 'mind' and 'intention'. I do not think you will pollute your garden. Nature/plants can neutralize and balance out the negative energy. So you don't have to worry.
