I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis and have had numerous surgeries on my fingers including thumb joint replacements exactly where you pointed out Brad . As someone else posted, I wear arthritis gloves and also finger splints when needed. I also bought the machine like the one you showed. You can adjust the time, heat level and pressure level. There are times my wrist, hands and fingers hurt so much that the gentle pressure that tightens and releases brings me so much comfort. Hi Bob ❤

I am a canvas painter for many years now and over the last year I have been having painful joints like stabbing pain in my fingers almost everyone but mostly my right thumb. I wear those copper fit gloves and use medical tape on the thumb. Seems like it helps but think I will eventually need one of those nasty injections. But until I work up that kind of courage, your video popped up and I thought, how did you hear me?"....haha . I just did them and I could already feel some pain getting better. I will do these everyday. They are perfect for everything that was worrying me and maybe I won't need that nasty injection. You're terrific, thank you.

I do wrist circles with my classes. We do them with hands open & fingers together as that is a dance move. We call it scooping frosting out of a bowl and putting it back. These are all great exercises. Thanks!

What brand is your hand massager please?
@PlantPerson589 күн бұрын
@ SereneLife. I bought it on Amazon. It’s not a weak machine. It really compresses tight. If you get one, start on the lowest setting and work your way up. It has a few different settings to choose from.

Thanks! I'm in the fourth day of recovery after pulling/straining a couple of muscles/ligaments from crochet. It turns out you should not crochet for hours at a time without adequate breaks, especially when using super bulky yarns.

Thank you gentlemen! I have pain at the base of my thumb. I’m going to try your exercises!
@Cre-Art8 күн бұрын
I injured my thumb and got trigger finger. A PA gave me a splint. I wore it overnight and my finger felt paralyzed. I immediately threw it away and started massaging my thumb, gently several times a day. After a while the joint moved a bit, so I tried flexing it. It was painful and kept getting stuck so I'd go back to massaging. Eventually I was able to do more flexing. I persisted in massaging and flexing. It took six months to regain full use but that sure beat surgery. I now stretch my hands and fingers daily. Stretches are underrated, and people are impatient. But the benefits are worth it. :) Good video.

I have Osteo & Rheumatoid arthritis all over. I the morning my hands hurt and are stiff (like the rest of my body). I found Arthritis Gloves online with the tips cut off. When I get flares, I sleep with them and NO STIFFNESS in the morning. For the rest of the body, I exercise, walk and just constantly move about. I try not to sit more than 30-45 minutes without getting up for a quick short walk around the house (and bathroom!) I got into the habit of doing a lot of exercises while sitting and watching TV.

Vigorous callisthenics - constant gripping of the bar is one great exercise for the hands and the various other movements (pushing against the bar as mimicking the scrum movements in rugby)make the whole body agile - defying stiffness often associated with ageing and give one a handsome physique. Positive outlook and Faith - ( Christianity's discipline with regard to gluttony is the golden arrow to hit the bullseye for discipline and success in all sporting activities .) 👍🙃.

Question… I’m pretty good with most hand movements, but…. I can’t raise 3 fingers in my left hand to signify the number 3! Holding the pinky with my thumb is next to impossible! I can’t raise do the pointer, and the peace sign, but not the three (in that manner)..I’ve resorted to doing the ok sign to signify three.. Is there something that I can do for that??? Or do I just have fat muscular palms that hinder that position?
