Great song. I don't really know what people expect from the band in 2020. I usually see people in the comments writing the old classic ''I miss the first two albums' but now I also see people saying how they miss the 13th floor? Is this really a thing now? Because when that album was released everyone was complaining. I'm really glad this band is still making music. Can't wait for the new album.

Some people simply want to complain. I've seen it happen since 9 Destinies and a Downfall. I feel like many people in here are newer fans and not familiar with this sound, but this is something that they've done before with their first two albums, go try listening to "Lithium And A Lover" and you'll find similarities with this song. I think this is a good mixture between the old and the new. I'm really happy that they finally bring back their old sound from their first two album, but the main problem with this new material is that whoever mixed the audio for this album (Which is probably Morten himself), they fucked it up so badly that you can barely hear anything that clearly except for the vocals, which i find it pretty unusual for Sirenia to mess it up this bad because their albums have always been well-produced. Even if you try to find a high quality download of this, it'll be super compressed and normalized to the point where it's almost unlistenable. I'm looking forward for this new album anyway, but if the audio quality of the whole album is going to be crappy like this, i'd have to pass it. I just hope the CD version won't be crappy like this because if so i'd be so pissed off.

There's bands that have a signature sound and have been releasing albums since the 80s and keep it fresh with their signature style. Which isn't to say Sirenia can't do whatever they want. It's just that a lot of Sirenia's older songs "did" it for us, and we're chasing that feeling with all the new albums, but none deliver recently. I can go back and listen to sixes and sevens right now, which I am going to, and it is going to rock my world.

I get what you mean. But other bands like Paradise Lost have made albums in a quite different styles, most of them really good. So it's not that changing style is a problem in it self. It's just that this style is not very appealing to me. Fortunately taste in music is subjective:)

Reinventing and making bad music , both have different meanings . We don't hate bands Reinventing . We simply hate on them making bad music and when music quality becomes bad / generic and sellout. It's sad when a band that once was good becomes like this , generic. With all all the fillers( ohohohohohoh sound like in pop music ) in this song , you should probably guess that they are not good anymore. Even the lyrics is bad and uninspired.
