I love the scenes with Wim and KB so much. As someone who has a dynamic disability that’s hard to manage, but still manageable after years of living with it I sobbed so hard during these scenes. And then when the music hits when she comes back on is so uplifting and amazing cause even though this is a fictional disability it’s still extremely relatable.

Literally I've just come back to this video, because when I was first here 20ish hours ago now when it dropped, I didn't see a single one of his name. Glad some body else picked up on it. But surprised it isn't credited on IMDb still, maybe we see him and it's a surprise if he is elephant species, Tak Rennod descendent or just a droid, man behind the curtain vibe next episode gonna go crazy! Then we get to credit him. Or is it just gonna be heart stopper and we never see his character ever just hear his voice

Great reaction (as expected), Gentlemen. Jod Na Nawood has officially become one of the coolest antiheroes in The SWU. He and Baylon Skoll seem to be on parallel planes. Obviously, both were, in ways, psychologically crippled by the events of The Clone Wars, Operation Knightfall, Order 66, the return of The Sith, and the existence of The Inquisitorius. I really do hope Jod has a redemption arc in his future, though. I do like him as a character. I think Jude Law is very much deserving of both Emmy and Golden Glode wins, in 2026. I LOVE the idea that the intricate, deadly satellites of (seemingly) all of The 9 Jewels Of The Old Republic mirror both the satellites used in Operation Cinder (during the end of The Galactic Civil War) and The Stormwall created by Marchion Ro and The Nihil (during The High Republic Era). I wonder who was inspired by whom, to fashion these devastating weapons? Poetry. Michael Tessler, you are a man of 1000 quality voices. Did you notice how the droids on At-Attin sound A LOT like Crosshair, from The Bad Batch? Dee Bradley Baker, you Master, you! John Humphrey, your humor, commentary, and feels are always welcome. Happy New Year and May The Force Be With You. P.S. The Onyx Cinder 2.0 is WIZARD. That starship is gonna look great flying right next to Din Djarin's N-1 Naboo Starfighter and Luke Skywalker's iconic Red 5 X-Wing Rebel Fighter. BTW: How are Watts and Ford going to wrap all of this good stuff up in a bow? There's too much to resolve and explain in under only 40 minutes. We need 60 to 70 minutes. Jude Law wasn't kidding, when he said that Our response to the last episode of, Skeleton Crew will be: WE NEED MORE!

As a ST “hater”, but an enjoyer of basically all the tv shows, I have to take Michael to task about The Acolyte trading on nostalgia. What was the nostalgia? One scene of the back of Yoda’s head at the end of the series finale? A scene or two with Ki-Adi-Mundi? Vernestra was from the HR books, Plagueis was only ever in what is now legends stories and only alluded to in PT. Also what we got was r he most detailed look of a force user’s spiral into the Dark Side (since or including Anakin) brought on by the tragic death of her mother at the hands of the person she probably trusted and admired most. Personally, I was looking forward to s2 to see where Qimir and Osha were going to go. Would Plagueis have a role? Would Palpatine be the end of Qimir/Osha when Plagueis takes him on as an apprentice? Would Vernestra and the Jedi butt heads with the Senate and would it have come to a head? If so, what would have been the fallout? Would Mae ever discover what the Jedi did to her and what would be her reaction to it? I assume a Mae/Osha reunion was inevitable, but what shape would that take? There were sooo many great threads that got set up and I’m more than a bit disappointed we will never get a s2.

So, I agree ultimately with both your point on what Luke represents, and what Jod's potential psychology is (acting brutal/cold in order to avoid attachment). (Assuming he really IS a Jedi, I have heard a few compelling theories that still explain how he could be faking it.) BUT - I do have some familiarity with non-attachment religious philosophy and I find a lot of people tend to really oversimplify it. It's not about being unfeeling, callous or dismissive of human life, so I actually lifted an eyebrow at how Jod explained it. I'm not sure if that was an intentional choice because they think that is what a Jedi would truly say, OR, if it's meant that it's become twisted in Jod's mind (either due to his trauma, or just due to not being a very good person). It's just more about...acceptance of transience and loving things/people in the moment without clinging to them, plus (in the case of the Jedi) recognizing you can't have favorites and need to serve all. OBVIOUSLY the OT Jedi are not where they should be and were not equipped to help Anakin in any way (and he WAS too attached) because they became repressive instead of integrated, and I find stuff like the prequels a fascinating exploration of how they fell but it just bugs me when people talk about the 'attachment' philosophies as if they are inherently responsible. Which is why I actually would have loved to see the sequels explore this through Luke's point of view and him bringing some warmth/humanity back to it. But alas, we got the sequels. ;)

Calling in now - the little mouse is Tak Rennod. I think that might also be why SM-33 was able to show a little autonomy. I agree with your opinions on the best shows. Not sure I'd through this one that high up but I really like it. But I also loved 'Star Wars suburbia' because to me it's really interesting to see what the 'normal' people do and the little ways it might look different. Not everybody lives on a backwater smuggler planet or a mega metropolis. There are lots of cultures pulled from various Earth influences so it makes sense to me there could also be a culture that more or less looks like Western suburban culture too. Regarding the shows...for me Kenobi is the worst and that makes me sad as I'm a huge prequel/Hayden fangirl, but for me the bad parts of that show were SO bad, and there was one VERY specific thing that it did not do which I felt it really need to do (follow up on Vader saying Kenobi once saw good in him, AND connecting that to all the Padme mentions) that it essentially ruined/undermined the entire show's for premise for me. It also had the worst soundtrack of any SW property. I don't know if it was meddling or what but Natalie Holt phoned it in big time. (Her Loki score is amazing so I don't know if it was just her, or what.) Acolyte is one of those things where there were some real pacing/storytelling/character development issues but I do think it could have found its footing if it got another season. I understand why the suits made the decisions they did (and completely agree they tried too hard to build up to that second season without making the first one satisfying on its own), but I still wish we'd gotten a little more. I do think some of the criticism on 'breaking canon' or introductions to Force lore were a bit reactionary/overblown. But I do agree it's on the lower tier of shows. I have a huge soft spot for Book of Boba Fett though. First, it has one of my favorite soundtracks. But I really enjoyed some of what they were doing with Fett's character/introspection and search for his new path/tribe/identity (which in some ways ties into Grogu's journey). I don't mind the shiny bikes, I thought it was hilarious that punks on Tatooine would rebel with colorful shiny things. But it missed the boat in really giving us a motivation for wanting to be a crime lord which they easily could have tied into wanting revenge on the Pykes for his clan's murder. Oh well. Overall I thought it was a fun side-interlude in the overall Mandalorian storyline.
