I am lucky because I have a beautiful large family and many grandchildren, 66 to be exact. I enjoy them all so much. I love watching the interaction with your awesome daughters. They are all amazing. I hope you have an amazing Christmas and may the Lord bless and keep you. I love the way your little place is looking and you have it warm and cozy. Your food you made looked amazing.

Nice to see that the homestead is keeping you all warm and safe! And I have to say, after watching you trek out in the snow.....I do NOT miss the snow one bit! Gotta put glass protector cables on the truck! Run grommets through the front of the hood, and some above the windshield (roof rack?) then run some thin steel braided cable between the two grommets to make a windshield protector. Keeps low hanging limbs from hitting your glass when the snow is on them!

Reminded me of being snowed in on grandpa's homestead. Dad had to fashion a rear mounted snowblower on the Deere model R to blow the dirt road just so we could get to the gravel road. If the gravel was drifted too high we went home and waited as many days as it took for the plow to clear the drifts. Not great in medical emergencies and we had a few.

It just got worse than this. We are now hiking past that creek overflow area to another vehicle.

Small log. Tie paracord to it. Tie the other end of the cord to a tree lower than the roof. Toss the log over the house. Go find the log. Pull on it and the snow slides off. Tip- don't stand under the avalanche.

Loved seeing the beaver. You can keep all that snow. I don't want it here in Oklahoma. Lol Seeing it is fine as long as I don't have to get out in it and I can stay warm. 😀 God bless y'all and stay safe.

That beaver will block the stream and it will over flow in spring. Water over dirt frozen 2' deep is no fun.

I’d like to do some trapping at some point. I could’ve shot that beaver but seems the kids thought it was cute and I’m not sure on the shooting vs trapping laws out here right off the top of my head.
