Snowy Beaver Dam Removal #3 The Culvert

Here is the last one on this job. I have to say, I was not well prepared to film this one. I didn't realize just how far in the beaver dam was and had no good place to set up a camera. Good news though, I built something that will work much better next time....I have heard they are back here already. I will go pay a visit in the spring.

Well done Gene, that was a job for a proper "tunnel/sewer rat". Yeah the filming was a bit hit and miss, but what do people expect? Glad you had the time lapse at the end that showed the progress. This is Post 10 territory. Magnetic lights/camera that will stick to the metal work really well, (just a magnetic light will help you a lot and the filming well, that's just a bonus for us).

Get yourself a magnetic mount for the camera inside metal culverts. Post10 uses them for cameras and even lights - they seem to take a fair bit of weight.

Hi Mark, 👋 Thanks. Yes, they do. The landowners actually call the township, and then the township sends me in. The water backing up has to be causing a problem somewhere upstream.

Hey Terri, 👋 Thank you. It's still too frozen yet. But! We are supposed to have 4 days of unusually warm weather. I hope to go out and tackle one. It has the water level only inches from the road. It depends on how frozen they are still. I have a few dams lined up for when the spring weather arrives. I can't wait.

videos would be better without music. people like to hear nature, work sounds (if its not too much annoying like scraping/squeaking etc.) and most important all water sounds. nobody wants to hear music in these videos.
