I saw them in 1999, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center... Korn, with Rob Zombie, opened by Videodrone. Zombie opened his set by cutting all the lights, and then started the intro of Superbeast (0:15)... The waiting crowd exploded, and everyone rushed towards the stage in a frenzy. It was surreal.
@terrylandess6072 Жыл бұрын
Rob Zombie uses 4 consistently. 4 beats per measure. 4 measures per section. Very easy to follow with no 'surprises' from the bang your head to the beat department. The fact these parts are interesting enough to make up for any timing or meter stagnation is art.

aye, restriction is an incredibly underrated aspect of the creative process. korn also does the "on all fours" thing.

It was 4 hours of Industrial / Metal, the Freaks On Parade tour: PowerMan 5000, Static-X, Mudvayne, Rob Zombie. Seeing this year's Freaks on Parade on September 23 at Honda Center. For now, it's Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie. Alice usually opens with "No More, Mr. Nice Guy. "

I caught Rob at Ozzfest 99 in Hartford, he was fire as were: Godsmack, Deftones, System of a Down, Primus, Slayer, and the original Black Sabbath. 8th row, a little left of center and close enough to the stage and PA to be a little anxious when the PA first came on. We were blasted into Oblivion by every band on the bill but headliner Black Sabbath let everyone know who was still boss when they opened with War Pigs. They had their mojo to the very end and showed it once again there. Rob and Slayer were also outstanding but the best individual performance, other than Sabbath, was Les Claypool, the brilliant Bass player from Primus, he was a one man wall of sound, with unusual, amazing leads and odd rhythms and put on a show, stalking the stage. Great show and time I will never forget. Also Les has recently played with Sean Ono Lennon, they do an amazing live cover of the Beatles' Tomorrow Never Knows. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
