@@ghost-husband my bf is emotional and I love it, it makes me feel comfortable to show my emotions more with him. I've never had that with my dad or my exes, other than anger they didnt express much emotion. It's refreshing and honestly healing to be with someone who allows themselves to be vulnerable. I hope you learn to appreciate that about yourself ❤

Thank you both for talking about Tyler and expressing how much you cared about him and how much he impacted your life. Thank you for sharing your grief. Seeing examples like this has helped me better flesh out "people would miss me if I was gone" which has been a huge help for me in my battles with depression. I really hope it helps others.

It’s hard when you lose someone so quickly. It’s real and raw to not know how to feel. It’s just jarring and it’s okay to give yourself the time you need to process. Don’t be hard in yourselves. It’s natural. You never know when people will just not be here anymore and my heart goes out to you and also everyone who loves Tyler.

Haven't even listened to a full minute and....so sorry about the loss of your friend 😔. I remember his podcast as well 😢. ("Mr Feels" with Tyler May) and also remember the depression episode. Still raw and real, I am sure. Also, so glad that your dog is doing ok - that sounds scary.

I'm only 4 minutes in and I just want to say how much this podcast meant to me. I found it a year ago. And it got me through work. My last 6 months at work I came in everyday not caring if I got fired. I started putting on a headband putting in my headphones and just spent hours walking around the sales floor and fitting room binging the podcast. It's the only thing that got me through my shifts. I was closed off for a while to my new coworkers but the topics you discussed made me open up dialogue and bring it to my peers. I ended up getting to know some great people because of you guys so thanks. I was going to school and working a job I hated if it wasn't for you guys I probably would've gotten fired, y'all kept me calm when I was at my angriest and most frustrated. Glad to have you back and thanks again

i agree w jarvis, i cant help but still mourn the years that were taken from me due to the pandemic. i feel like everyone is just moving on like it never happened! it was a really painful part of our lives, i missed so many things i had dreamed of happening my entire school life. now im going into third year of university, its a big change going from 17-20 in a world that was completely unimaginable

As someone who's lost their childhood friend of 12 years, I can't emphasize enough how *nothing* prepares you for the loss of a friend in your 20s or 30s. And the grief, as far as I can tell 4 years later, never goes away. So I hope you fellas do take your time and take an ep to talk about him. Bc doing things to honor/remember my friend now is really the only thing that helps. But this shit hurts so absolutely no worries if you decide not too lol

this podcast is truly what i needed right now. i’m just at the beginning still but my best friend and biggest supporter just moved across the world and i haven’t really figured out a way to regularly contact him and haven’t let me really feel what i’m feeling. anyway i just want to say thanks for giving me this space to let me feelings just exist and thank you for showing that it’s okay to be vulnerable

@Real Ray I’m in the exact same boat, almost to the T. A lot of us trans folks are neurodivergent. My suspicion is that the way our outlook is affected by neurodivergence makes us more attentive to how we feel so that we can recognize our transness, and less likely to care about the status quo/social rules that would prevent transition. Anyways. I hope that you’re able to get assessed at some point, I know parents can be a big obstacle. Just know that every diagnosis starts with a suspicion of what you have, and whether you end up with those specific labels or not, the symptoms you’re recognizing and the experiences you’re having are super valid :)

@ghost-husband

@Real Ray i know that idk you but having both is a big possibility imo, if you have one you're more likely to have the other as well. I'm diagnosed with adhd but I suspect I have autism too. I'm also a trans guy so I feel you on that one, I only just got diagnosed with adhd at the beginning year and I'm 19, a lot of us really are neurodivergent huh? I hope you can get evaluated soon and get some help, if you want it that is.

When I tell you I had a little cry after finishing listening to this episode, I mean it. This is definitely my most significant parasocial relationship. I started listening to you guys during the pandemic, thinking "honey, you've got a big storm coming" during the pre-apocalypse episodes and I remember thinking to myself that your podcast is one of the highest quality I've heard. You also helped me with my English listening practice, so thanks for that. Then I missed your content and moved to watching you here. Seeing how well your channels are doing, I started to miss your conversations. AND HERE YOU ARE AND I AM SO HAPPY.

God the medication thing is ridiculous here. I am on my parents’ insurance and changed insurances- but new one only covered generic Nuvaring birth control. This sucked because not only was one ring now 178$ but I’ve been using the brand name for a few years and it’s been AMAZING (I use it for extreme depression and migraines) So I tried the generic for 4 months and I was just so not ok. Just crying at the drop of a hat, feeling like brushing my teeth takes out all my energy for the day, losing all interest in things I love to do, and my actual period being so intensely heavy. So I tried going back to brand name and it was just a change over just two months. Which was good to see BUT not when one ring costs 178$. Tried getting a prior authorization from my doctor to insurance because I had tried over 3 versions of birth control that did not work with my body. The insurance doesn’t even have Nuvaring on their list so that wasn’t even an option. It’s like okay awesome I’m just trying to function like a normal human being but that’s gonna cost me 178$ a month. We are extremely fortunate we’re in a place where we can budget that but it’s insane that this is something that happens! When people are just trying to function at a baseline level and that’s when someone HAS insurance! Ok rant over- love you guys thanks for normalizing talking about medication as well

The past three years have been such an unreal period. The September before the pandemic my sister took her life. Less than a year later my dad did as well. I've been grieving in the midst of a lot of external chaos and now things are slowly going back to "normal" and it's just really hitting me how this is my life now. For what it's worth, videos from you two make me feel okay. I'm always thinking about them but there's ways for me to still be okay. So thanks.

Love this, life sucks so much sometimes and it’s ok ebbs and flows or whatever that saying is and it’s refreshing to hear two grown men with podcast express their feelings so candidly. Thank you for not cutting that out, it seems silly but I don’t think either of you understand how validating seeing the ppl on the internet that you admire express the emotions we all feel (and usually make ourselves feel bad ABOUT feeling). Nothing about the last few years feels real, I know I speak for a lot of us when I say that and this interaction was incredibly humanizing and sort of grounding in a sense. Thank you for always sharing your lives with us, thank you for feeling like a friend to so many of us during a time where everyone in the world felt alone, you guys are incredibly important to so many of us. I’m so sorry about Tyler, and as a fan I have so much love for you both. Jordan specifically, I cannot wait til you are back with your friends and in a place that feels like home to you! Look forward to the content we’ll see then (better be more chicken girls btw not to pressure you but kind of) and your fans support you thru all the feels (except the barista girly) I hope You continue to take care of yourself first and not worry about content bc your existence and happiness is way more important to us all. Ok corny cliche comment over, idk if you guys will see this but to anyone else reading til the end- you’re an angel, ily you matter sm and we are friends 💛
