I'd argue that the best home intruder outcome is that they happen to break in while you're having Superman over for tea.

On the bus seat thing: yes, a thousand times yes to John. I'm a recent cancer survivor and while I look like a totally normal healthy person + a dramatic scar on my arm, I actually have waaay less energy and balance than the average 21 year old, so I need seats both so that I can preserve my energy and so that I don't, like, fall on people when the bus/metro car speeds/slows/turns. This leads to super-fun situations like middle-aged people glaring at me because they believe that I am healthy and as people who are older than me, I owe them the seat. Which leads to fun rants about ungrateful youths.

If you don't mind speaking about it, just tell them the truth. If they're at all decent people, they'll stop pestering you, and if they're not then you don't have to feel bad about taking the seat.

On top of the other things, remember what generation left the world in the horrible condition in which yours now receives it. That's right, the "ungrateful youth" ranting generation.

Oh my gosh, yes! I'm lucky enough that I don't have to take public transport often, but I have chronic fatigue and a whole bunch of other invisible illnesses, but I'm 16 and, well, my illnesses are invisible so people assume that pretty much anyone needs the seat more than I do.

John has been my favorite author for the past three years, after I read the fault in our stars. I read every single book of his and I started loving him a hundred times more than I did. Then one day around two years back I stumbled across this channel and I was just like, "wow" All his videos have a meaning and are deep. They are all amazing and a food for thought. what I mean to say is, I love him and I'm waiting for a new book. x

I would love to see the video you are referring to with this video though... and I can't find it. Thank you.

This has nothing to with this video, but I wanted to say it anyway. On a recent, and very long, car trip, my family and I listened to The Fault in Our Stars via audiobook and it was amazing. I laughed out loud and even though I desperately wanted not to cry in a car full of my family members, I cried. A lot. Anyway, thank you for writing it. It made me think about life and death in a way that I hadn't before, and it made me so grateful to be healthy and mostly happy. Thank you so much.

I think making a list is a great way to fix the problem. Even if it's a few pages long, being able to see the things you want to do instead of having them dance around in your head like sugar plum fairies will make it a lot easier to prioritize and choose the things you want to do most.

I'm the kind of person who people walk right past and say hi to out of politeness, but I know they don't particularly like or dislike me. However, this year some people came into the school and I now have two close friends. As high school goes on, you'll find people you fit in with, trust me :)

I learned today that it really is much better to participate than to observe, because when you observe you *want* to participate and more often than not there's nothing stopping you from doing so other than yourself.

I found a nerdfighter at work! A girl filling in from another store noticed my DFTBA bracelet and we discussed the awesomeness that is John and Hank. It was a huzzah moment.

Dear John: Last night, as I was driving my 45 hour commute home from Dr. Phillips, Fl to Winter Park Fl, i was listening to Paper Towns on CD. As the main characters ascend to the top of the Sun Trust building, I drove past the Sun Trust building. As Margo tells Q to exit at Princeton (which by the way is not the appropriate exit to go to college park), I was exiting on Princeton. This was weird. And yet so, so very cool.
