He was trying to express that no one else remembered her in Sonic 06 because they had forgotten about the events of Sonic Rush. He just either didn't word it that well, or it was translated poorly, one of the two. "Basically what happened is that everyone had, like, amnesia" out of context sounds really hilarious though, I have to admit. Plus it doesn't exactly explain why in Sonic 06 Blaze is from the future, and not an alternative dimension.

As a fan who stopped paying attention after Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD whom are the best Sonic games personally, I just can't fathom how the fuck going back to the past to make a game that kicks ass, had a fucking thing to do with a real world style game, you're absolutely right, I mean it's unrealistic to think they'd make a huge kickass 2D scrolling game like the REAL original Sonic, especially for a super new game system but It's kinda funny to think everyone clamors for a game like one closer to the roots of Sonic but I guarentee you that people would bitch even if it was better than Sonic 2 with Knuckles

why was it scrapped? The idea of a cartoon animal having a human gf is nothing new and has been used many many times. Bowser kidnaps peach to make her his bride, Rodger Rabbit has Jessica, Pokemon are even referenced as once marrying humans, Beauty and the beast uses the concept (with the he was once human justification but concept of loving a animal as a human remains, arguably more so in this than any other as it blurs the line between animal and human for children.) the idea of kissing a frog to make it a prince, etc . . . . you get the idea No clue why Sega gets flak for such an old and reused concept, perhaps if they had never scrapped it at all, then by the time 06 sonic came out it wouldn't feel so foreign to people and it'd have been fine

Honestly I think a lot of AAA games have their potential destroyed when publishers pressure them into working inhumanly fast (considering the scope of their vision and what they want their game to be). Unfortunately Sega has a tendency of sprinting a marathon away from ideas that don't do well critically and commercially, hence why a lot of the Sonic games feel like one-off experiments that never got fleshed out. Moon Eraser Well, that depends on how you look at it. In terms of gameplay, yes. While I hate the mach speed sections, at least they were trying to do something like Sonic. In Boom, this is gonna sound like a weird comparison, but it felt like a poorly made Ratchet and Clank game. Story on the other hand... Well, at least Boom kept it within a cartoony universe. But other than that It's more like pick your poison.

+MortalFluff Yuji Naka is a huge Toriyama fan and most of Sonic, starting from Sonic 2, has traces of DBZ sprinkled in it. There were 6 emeralds originally, but for sonic 2, they added a 7th emerald, thus matching the 7 dragon balls, but ALSO gave sonic a super powerful, golden transformation that made his quills stand on end, a tribute to the SSJ transformation. Amy is often like Bulma, chasing Sonic/goku around in the original dragon ball, though the mechs Tails and Eggman make are often similar to the capsule corp gizmos. Even most of eggman's devices, when destroyed, vanish in a poof of smoke akin to a capsule being activated. basically, a lot of Sonic is DB/Z, but with cartoonish animal characters.

The fact that Silver is legit inspired by Trunks makes the ending scene feel like something out of DBZ when I first played it....I mean come on Super Silver, Super Shadow and Super Sonic fighting together reminded me of when Vegeta, Trunks and Goku went Super Sayian against Broly....man the memories x'D In all honesty, I liked the game when I played it through, but it definitely was buggy af and could of been a whole lot better, but the soundtrack was amazing, also the fact that on the 360 you could play your own music while playing the game was awesome, I had Disturbed playing their latest album at the time while doing speed runs haha

Did you know? ChaosX is making a PC remake of Sonic 2006. Basically, he's remaking the game in Unity, and he's making it how it was ACTUALLY supposed to play. And so far, the results have been AMAZING. I'm not kidding. He's actually managed to make Sonic 2006 GOOD. Bear in mind, though, that it's not perfect, mostly because it's not finished yet. I actually love this game. It's my second favourite Sonic game after SA2. Yeah it's buggy, but bugs aside it's a really impactful and captivating game with great characters, memorable and immersive levels, outstanding music and... well it's just generally great :) It was just rushed out that's all. It's still one of my favourite games ever made. You can all attack me now haha :)

When I saw the game opening scene I realised I have this very game sitting in a box somewhere around my house. If I had a ps3 I'd play it and write a review but since I don't and I only played BEFORE the first level I can't really say anything about this game, but I'm going to watch the rest of the video now.
