'She thought she could transform a thousand year old institution and make it more .... pepperoni pizza pool floaty?' BOOM! You have the power of spinning word salad into narrative gold. I don't recall any pictures of Meghan in an updo, but her producers were probably wearing them to cover the bald patches induced by trying to cobble together a coherent podcast from her nonsense.

DEAD WRONG! Have you ever known a psychiatric nurse, or a school teacher of young handicapped children? THAT'S WHERE MEGHAN MARKLE FITS. Can you do that work for a lifetime? I get it, my wife is a school teacher of young handicapped children. she's joyful one day, melancholy the next. and very protective. Meghan picked the charity that helped people get clothes for job interviews, The Joy of "I GOT THE JOB". I bet she still works with them. She picked the people at Grenfell for a cookbook that still sells and is still popular. She was smart, seeing people from different cultures , a cookbook, I'm saying the Charities she selected she gave careful thought. ITS THE SAME WITH ARCHETYPES. Why did she pick who she picked? She attended AGAPE SPIRITIAL CENTER. you need to understand AGAPE TO GET MEGS.

@@jjboyd01are you trying to convince yourself that she really is a good person? Or do you see something that most of us can't, because all we see is her evil, calculating, cunning, scheming, jealous character. I'm sure she does have some good qualities, but her bad qualities are overwhelmingly stronger. But nice that she still has some people in her corner. I don't get it, but good for you. At least you think she's good, and you're not purposefully supporting someone who you think is bad.

I mean, to give her the benefit of doubt (why I don’t know) it’s possible she mean that society imposes so many expectations onto women who are told a main goal should be to marry and have children, that anyone who wants to also have a career is stuck trying the near impossible act of balancing the two ‘roles’. It sounds like both women are kind of saying they regret having children (and maybe their marriages). Which is fine, but sort of sad, in particular about the kids. I get the feeling that they are saying they feel guilt for actually wishing they never got married and had kids… which is a pretty bold and honest statement. Feel sorry for everyone’s lives they are harming by coming to that realization. Sure, women should be free to be childless and focus on their career if that’s what they want, but it would be nice if you figured that out before you got married and had kids. Lol

@graphiquejack Women haven't been told their main goal should be to get married and have kids for a very long time. I shocked people in the 80s by saying that was what I wanted to do. Harry's wife married to increase her "brand," and kids in the line of succession are a bonus. It's very possible that Sophie married Trudeau because of his status too. I don't feel sorry for either of them.

Harry's wife never left High School mentally. The antics she pulls is mean girl stuff, dropping friends because they said something about her, trying to be one of the cool kids, look at me - look at me pictures and the biggest one spreading rumors. If fact I'm beginning to see Harry in this light also. Him grabbing the trophy from Nacho in the recent "Charity" polo match was so childish. And the two of them holding hands all the time. Well not so much now their getting ready to "break up".

I never ever (and I’m really old now) have felt anything other than being privileged to be a woman. I had a great education, a great job, a good marriage and beautiful delightful children. I’m an American and in my mid 60’s and at no time in my life did I ever feel guilty about being a girl/woman. My American family was one with extremely strong women and that was the expectation for all of us. My American grandmother was active in the women’s suffrage movement and my mother ran several businesses on her own and with my father. My sister and I were raised to be proud independent women, just like all the women in our family. That’s my American experience and can’t speak about anyone else but really at no time did I feel like we were unique, we were a normal family.

Very interesting observation about Diana. Because of her CHARACTER and natural warmth she gradually changed the public perception of a very old institution. She hugged people, she embraced people with AIDS, she laughed naturally with them and at herself. Her down to earth style endeared her to “the common man”. She set a tone which we now see in the public interactions of both KC and Prince William. She left her mark just by being herself. I’m not British but this comment made me reflect. It wasn’t an agenda, which is the reason it worked.

When Sophie made a fool of herself on that podcast, we wrote to the office of the PM to ask how his wife would participate in any official royal visit to Canada? Obviously she can have her own personal friends but as the wife of the PM, she should have kept it private that she was drinking and lounging with someone that's only been made famous by insulting our own Head of State. Sophie's behaviour at the Queen's funeral was as juvenile as Markle. Sophie had her claw into Justin and was grabbing and pulling at him. It was embarrassing to watch as a Canadian because Trudeau and Chretien were the only leaders invited to both receptions and services due to the long personal connection to the Queen besides their official capacities.

I was fortunate to have parents that had 3 daughters and one son, and we daughters got as much encouragement as our brother. My mother also went to college in the 50's which was not a given for women of that time. My father's parents sent all of their 7 children, including 3 daughters to college in the 50's. That grandfather couldn't afford to go to high school himself when he immigrated, he went straight to work. Education was a very important thing to my parents, as children of Irish immigrants to America. They gave us the best they could when it came to education. They understood its value and worked hard to send us to the best schools. So they accomplished it! I just want to add that I was an English Lit major ultimately after 3 years of pre-med and taught English Lit as my career, which drew me to your channel. I just loved it so much as my university had a large required liberal arts curriculum, no matter your major, and I decided to change course. I enjoy your videos so much. Glad to hear that. Australian media were at one time trying to promote the idea of our prime ministers' wives being 'First Ladies'. Then we went through a period of PMs coming and going as if they were in a revolving door, so that nobody had time to learn the names of their wives. No idea who the current one is.

Shauna, I do enjoy your videos. This American, who is 30 years older than M, was never made guilty for being a girl. Also, M was spoiled rotten by her father, so how was she made to feel guilty for being a girl? I think she is acting out a part in a movie script. Sending greetings from NYC 🗽

Absolutely. I grew up in the 50s also, as one of 6 kids. Dad always encouraged us 3 girls to get some job training even if we wanted to raise kids because “you never know when it’s needed”. After 50 years of marriage I often think of that. My husband has worked for 2 companies that went bankrupt and I suddenly had to go back to work. Good marriages and good families work together to do what’s needs to be done. The only reason Meghan feels guilty is because she doesn’t want to do the work and is very happy to live off of a man’s wealth. Men can also feel “trapped” in the daily grind of a mundane job and with the tremendous responsibility they have to carry raising a family. They do it out of love. It’s all about unselfishness.

The queen was from the era of beehive hairstyles and pearls. When Meghan married Harry she stepped into a life of roles, rules and order. Is she upset about the rules of the monarchy and how she had to follow those rules? She is bashing the queen? I am not so sure why she feels that we need to break free. Women in American can be anything they want. I worked in a mans job for 16 years, driving a semi truck. (There aren't many women that do that job.) My point is we can do anything we want. I am not sure why she feels that way. Maybe she has to have a platform and a cause. She tried the race card, maybe she is trying out the "I am woman" card? Maybe she should go for the Barbie card?
