Can someone explain to me please that intro to the art of dying I just do not understand it at all it's a polyrhythm but what is the pattern it is so mega its a joke
@colinbentham69465 жыл бұрын
Hey man. So the time signatures are 4/4, 2/4 and then a bar of 21/16. The easiest way to think about it is the first time the pattern goes through it's KKKS KKKS KKKS KKSKKSKKS, which is the 4/4 and 2/4. The second time round the pattern is the same except the last 3 16th notes (KKS) are dropped, which is the 21/16. He then adds a quarter note pulse over the top. Hope that makes sense dude!!

The Harry Potter signature 😂 (it's meant to read Phosphor)
@Assimilator7025 жыл бұрын
Tailgunner Yes the new Walnut/Birch are VERY close to the Birch/Bubinga which are better drums than the Dynamic Kapur. Kanpur is nothing special and is a common timber wood in Malaysia and Indonesia. People think it’s exotic because Yamaha uses it in the Phoenix drums but it’s not due to its “sonic” properties but due to its density and the way it excites the surrounding woods in the shell. You’ll notice that Tama does have a Star Walnut kit in their catalog and several Walnut drums. Kapur is relegated to the budget end.
@theDeathJoy2 жыл бұрын
Sorry but your research is far off: - He uses 12-13-16-22. Always has. Whether it be his Superstar Classic, Starclassic Bubinga or Star Bubinga. - The Z3 cymbals are rebranded into A Custom. Exact same model, just a different logo/categorisation. - The bell he used in the earlier days is a Sabian HH 9" (or possibly 8") Radia Cup Chime. There was no stack. - He later on used a varying 10" splash. A Custom Rezo during L'enfant Sauvage and a regular A Custom thereafter. - His chinas varied a lot. The Z3s you mentioned are equal to the A Custom 20" and A Ultra Hammered 19/21". He also use(d) Z Custom 20", Oriental Trash 20", K Custom Hybrid 19" and a Paiste Dimensions Thin in the early days. - The key signature in his sound is a Mega Bell. He uses an A currently, but used Z3 and Z Custom as well. Z3 is equal to A, but the Z Custom was less washy. The Art Of Dying rhythm was executed nicely! Well done!
