Don't worry Franki, I will help you if I can. The most important thing to remember that 4" X 4" squares will NOT make 4" HST's. Because of the seam allowance the HST will be almost 1/2" smaller than the original square. So: I use a 4" square to make a 3 1/2" HST. I use a 5" square to make a 4 1/2" HST. I use a 5 1/2" square to make a 5" HST. 1/2" is all you have to remember. The HST will be about 1/2" smaller than the squares. I always trim to make it exact. VERY IMPORTANT. Don't sew on the line. Sew 1/4" on either side of the line, then cut on the line. This will give you two HST's about 1/2" smaller than the original squares. I demonstrate this in my first video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJbIkqCCr66XqNE
