I’m a BIG Aliens fan. Watched it on VHS in 1987. Now got it on 4k. Good recap! Few errors. But excellent review.

Alien was the best. Aliens was okay but the rampant stupidity was hard to deal with. The androids were so smart and strong, why even send humans down to the surface at all? Two or three androids could do all the recon and if a few of them are torn apart by aliens, no biggie, just unbox another one.

This is the theatrical edition. Missing the robot sentry scene first shown when it was shown on CBS. Tension is better in this and the CBS edition as they dont show the settlers getting attacked by facehuggers, building tension when the marines arrive at the base and dont know what happened. The directors cut describes way too much killing the tension
