The reason the dogs would react to the IR laser's being shined into their eyes is because even though dogs and humans alike cannot SEE IR, it still hurts as much as getting a military grade laser shined in your eye
@DaveSmith-cp5kj2 жыл бұрын
I think they also have IR radiation sensors in their nose, although it is for detecting heat signatures for stalking prey (like when they sniff the ground). I'm not sure if the laser, even the full power gov beams can produce enough heat for them to actually sense that though. They could also just be hearing the movement of him swinging the rifle around since clothes make a lot of noise.

16:15 A friend of my Dads served in the Airforce over in Afghanistan in the early 2000s. To this day he swears that one of the flights he ran involved transporting a dead giant. Its been a while since I've looked up the topic. It was an incident that happened in 2002 in the Kandahar Province of Afghanistan. some soldiers went missing in the mountain regions of Kandahar, and when they couldn't make radio contact, they sent out a special forces team to search the area. That was when they came across a cave, in which the supposed giant lived. I want to believe, but its kind of hard coming from him, with all the Dungeons and Dragons they played. side note, tried searching the Wayback Machine for the deleted interview video of the incident, but it wasn't saved.
@MrCashewkitty2 жыл бұрын
There's a History Channel series about giants. They have letters from the Smithsonian regarding not letting the public access them. They also reportedly have multiple sets giant skeletons. One of the episodes is in Arkansas not too far from me and a giant skelly was unearthed there many years ago. I remember my grandpa telling me about it years ago. I don't believe the Afghanistan giant story as all the remains that have been found are 1000s of years old. Weird weird stuff

Dogs have dichromatic sight. They can see yellow and blue. But not red or any shade of red. However like many animals they can sense infrared. More likely the heat source coming off infrared light. And that is what they react to. Thats why a lot of animals more often than not look into the camera at camera traps. They can sense the infrared coming off of it.

Hahah, I nearly forgot about learning how to "commandeer a vehicle". While I've never had to do so, I have been in a situation where I was with two guys and we... borrowed an SUV for a few miles. Mainly because it was getting dark and we didn't want to walk back to base while I supervised as the NCO at the time. It was funny in retrospect, watching two super serious military guys, who've probably never so much as stole a piece of nickel candy as civilians, coaching one another on how to hot wire up an old '80s Toyota SUV. 😂 We drove it a few miles then left it on the side of the road with a few bucks in the glovebox to compensate the owner for the gas and made it back to base before dark. 🙂

If you hotwire the car that is your shelter. And also your ticket to a better shelter LOL why build when you can take what's rightfully yours.. I mean if they wanted to keep it they probably shouldn't have put it in the middle of the woods.. just for anybody to hotwire and take by right of passage and Dominic claim.. but I would like to see the follow-up video where they have to fight to get it back like in some sort of ring naked. And get the the guy to referee and no round time limits.. just go 10 hour long rounds till you know somebody either gets a car or never really wanted a car in the first place cuz they just they just they just let it go gave it away practically at that point. Twice twice LOL definitely not their car anymore..

My wife and I really love your channel, especially the Interrogations. What was the stupidest thing you've ever seen a Contractor do? Did you ever cross paths with or receive the benefit from a Contractor's work where you found yourself thinking "Better them than me" :-) Did you ever work with a Contractor(s) and found yourself thinking "How the &%*#@ did they GET this job?" What's the funniest thing you've ever seen a Contractor do?
@DaveSmith-cp5kj2 жыл бұрын
As far as the stupidest thing, one that was here in the states after I got American citizenship was a guy getting in a hot tub with the client and flirting with her, the second was during the EU coup of the Ukrainian government where a group (not our specific company) went into town to buy drugs and prostitutes and got arrested in a sting operation. Which is also hilariously bad luck because if you know Ukraine it is notorious for widespread sex tourism and virtually nobody gets caught because the politicians are in on it, including our politicians like the Clintons and apparently the Bidens based on recent events. Both situations obviously the guys were fired and blacklisted and will never work in such a job ever anywhere in the world ever again. It's especially stupid because the pay was amazing and they weren't dangerous jobs.

@8:17 They can't see IR but they can sense it. IR transmits a lot of energy with it in form of heat and warms up anything that it hits. I learned this working with IR laser cutters and etchers. There is this tiny gap between the two sides of cats and dogs nose called "rhinarium" that stays wet and they lick it wet. it is sensitive to that heat and that is how they can detect it. The reason they freak out is because there is a weird sudden heat they are sensing.
