Pathfinder has the same bug (well... functionally the same, obviously totally different code) still unpatched years after going out... I think most people will forgive bugs in a demo. But UI lockup bugs are the worst, from player perspective, it leaves them feeling like if they just knew "this one weird computer trick," they could have saved their progress. Even having a watchdog thread hard crash the program is better.

I like how the game incorporates high magic to the mercenary troop management and still retains the harsh difficulty of fight and progression, and the pretty art style certainly adds to the enjoyment.

I'm pretty sure it's because he manually removes them except for the beginning ones. I remember he mentioned something about that in a previous video, but Facebook changed it on every single video that he had so it was only after a certain point because he didn't have the time to go back and fix every single video

I wanted to like Battle Brothers but it was a bit hardcore for me. This generally looks more my cup of tea. I’m totally craving for an open world procedural party based game like this. I picked up Low Magic Age but it still needs a lot of work.

Yeah my reaction to BB too, also I never can get used to that cut off torso art style in BB. OTOH this looks well defined… Low Magic Age is one of those games like Dwarf Fortress that is perpetually in development, can’t even remember when I got it.

Battle Brothers isn't hardcore. It's an unfair and unbalanced mess of a game that is trying to make you lose. It's the exact same reason Darkest Dungeon is a bad game. It's got layers of RNG that in one second set you back 6 hours of progress.

Cheers :) For now the starting classes are the same (it needs to be done this way due to the nature of the tutorial mission). But you get to recruit new ones pretty quickly after that. We may add an option down the line where you get to customize your starting crew.

The 45 days bit was just referring to the 'well-rested' state where a character then deals a bit of bonus damage. It's applied kind of like rested XP in WoW. As long as a character isn't 'Fatigued', they're good to go!

This looks brilliant, the graphics are gorgeous. Though the 12 turn difficulty mechanic in the dungeons is a bit of a turn off. I don't like it at all to be honest, the game looks challenging enough without some arbitrary timer in place.

this looked good at first because it looks like battlebrothers and i have liek 2k hours in that game. But its nothing like it in my personal opinion. The intro was extremely story driven. And the gameplay was jsut fight after fight for the intro. Also turns out you can only have 4 guys in your party. Which makes the whole gameplay just fundamentally different. I cant really build a frontline with a strategy in mind with just 4 guys which are all restricted by class.
