Adding more time will not help pacing, in fact it could make it so much worst. If a movie can have great pacing in an 1 hour and a half then a 6 ep show Should have no issue. The issue here is the writing/ directing. This show should of gone to Dave filoni and Jon favreau. What Disney really needs to do is get rid of Kathleen Kennedy and replace her with filoni and favreau. That would bring star wars to the level it needs to be.

The issue isn't the episode number.. you can tell a perfect story in just 6 episodes. Just look at early peaky Blinders for example. it comes down people's poor writing (use that for a lack of better term)

The writing for this show isn't bad at all (derivative, predictable...sure, fine) and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the pacing. I agree that a lot of the Disney+ shows are stretched out movie screenplays, but these episodes work as separate episodes so far (though they are still very connected). Just because the pacing isn't lightning fast doesn't mean it's bad. I think Netflix's full season dumps have made people impatient.

This series was marketed as an equivalent installment to the films, to fit between ep. 3 & 4, just in the form of a limited series. But the reality is that this is just a high budget TV show with mediocre adventures of the week.

I've always found it difficult to rectify in my mind Han's complete disregard for the force in a New Hope considering it's only been 18 years or so since the fall of the Republic, but if there was so many faith healer fake Jedi roaming around it makes Han's view more believable.

The interrogation of Leia was the worst part of this episode, I don't know why this wasn't brought up (or maybe I'm making this comment to early in watching), it makes zero sense. Leia's only understanding the their "underground railroad" was just her being in the temp safe house and running through the tunnel before bein captured again. This show could be so great but stupid writing is getting in the way

I feel like they’re asking you to suspend your disbelief in this show too much “just because” the most egregious one being Kenobi getting away from Vader because there is a small wall of fire and it not even be addressed in this episode, it shouldn’t be down to the fans to have to figure out why and what happened, I doubt it will be explained and I feel this has happened on a few occasions, I don’t dislike the show I just thought it could be so much better

If they are intending to have Reva's hatred for Obi Wan to be due to him abandoning her and other younglings during order 66 then it would've been great if she revealed this to Leia in this episode. She could've used it to sow doubt in Leia about Obi Wan and whether he would come to save her. Then when he saved her it would feel even stronger as he was cowardly before to just abandon all the young jedi across the universe but now he redeems himself. We need something more for Reva's character. Also least they could've done this episode is have a brief lightsaber duel between reva and obi. Two times now he has just jumped in a ship before it happened Hopefully they are just saving this and maybe her hatred for him is a different reason but if it is due to his abandonment this seems like a wasted opportunity this episode

My thoughts haven't changed too much after watching this. I like the plot but the Inquisitors continue to suck all the momentum out of the show. They are just awful. Would've been more interesting to focus on the Vader/Obi-Wan relationship entirely and just forget the Inquisitors.

This show has been extremely disappointing and underwhelming. I said after episode 2, I hope Obi Wan drops off Leia and the story continues with Obi Wan but nope, my fears have come true. So many plot conveniences in this episode, it’s astounding. Disney needs to get their shit together. They need better writers and directors. This show feels so half baked and undercooked it’s honestly hard to believe. It feels like they pulled together the D Team for Obi Wan when it should’ve been an All-Star Best of the Best team. Once again poor Ewen McGregor having to carry this franchise on his back, God bless him because he is incredible as Obi Wan. These shows feel like a product instead of a fleshed out series from someone with an actual vision. Someone else said it’s like watching Obi Wan Cliffnotes and that’s 100% accurate.

I've enjoyed parts of the show, and there's definitely potential, but it feels like it's fallen flat at a lot of points. Even outside the pacing, or the plot which i think range from meh to alright, my biggest issue is that for me, there is no tension for any of the dramatic scenes where they try to make it seem like Obi-Wan or Leia are in danger.

Disney have messed up a obi wan series with ewan mcgregor returning. Theres so many things where u are left scratching ur head.The general story, revas character, the lack of exploring the relationship between anakin and obi wan. I was hopeful that maybe it would catch on and start to roll, but it hasnt and has been underwhelming . I was thinking about what they couldve done with this story, and i could come up with better storylines then whats here. I feel like I say this every week, but the issue isn’t the amount of episodes. It’s the amount of content. Stranger Things and The Boys are like 8 episodes, but they’re long episodes. That’s how it should be. A 30 minute episode in a big budget “premium” 6-episode event Star Wars show is ridiculous. So much could’ve been added here. I didn’t give a flying fuck about Wade’s death because we have no idea who he is. Obi just wakes up in the bafta tank and talks to these people like he knows them, while the audience doesn’t. Also, why did they waste the money on Haden if we’re 4/6 episodes in and saw him for maybe a second??? I also feel horrible for the actress that plays Reva because she has no material and her character is extremely one note. Other than Obi cracking necks, the only thing in this episode that made me feel was Leia holding his hand in the end.

My one issue with this episode was that Reva acted like Leia was this head honcho on the path. Like Reva did you forget that you kidnapped Leia from her home and the only reason she was on the "Path" was because she was trying to get back to that home you originally took her from. Why would Leia know anything about the "Path"? That to me was the biggest plot hole that Leia was treated as if she always had been on the run from the Inquisitors

I seriously think that everything that we have heard from Darth Vader in this show is Hayden acting not only the body but also the voice, and then an AI filter makes it sound like James Earl Jones, because it is sounding like a mix of the two. For me personally, I’d have just had obi wan out the whole episode. The A plot would be him healing interspersed with flashbacks with the others (or with Reva) and the B plot would be the Path trying to locate leia with the rescue happening in episode 5. Missed opportunity to build out some of these characters and the background.

I really am enjoying the show, but I don't know. I still feel like there's something missing and I can't quite put my finger on what that is. Maybe it was just my own expectations for the past several years for this thing. I don't feel like the show is really spinning its wheels because it is only six episodes long, but I feel like we could be further along after four episodes, too. I think at this point I feel the same way I do even after episode one -- there's nothing egregiously bad about any of it, and Ewan is so great, and young Leia is pretty solid, and I even like the Game of Thrones lady. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy these next two episodes, warts and all.

Man I just don't understand ben's Jedi power level. He can't force pull chilling on a ship but he can deflect laser blasts coming from two directions and he can hold back water like Moses. I don't like the trope of person can do X when it's most convenient for the plot. Reva is getting annoying, this was their chance to show more depth and they just won't make her a better character. If you are gonna have a more emotionally unhinged character let's go in on it then. Laughed at home girl choking that dude out, returns back and keeps on whispering to ben. I’m sure the next two episodes will be a step up but I just don’t get the favor of this Leia and the inquisitor plot line over the Anakin obi wan which is obviously building. But after so long I’d think and hope they would have hit the floor running instead of dragging feet in a 6 episode show. It’s a shame we wait for these Jedi master characters for years to come back on screen to see what they can really do with today’s capabilities but the studio chooses to think we’d care for a Luke who doesn’t want to use the force and an Obi Wan who has disconnected. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I still think they’re building the clone stuff up for the Thrawn storyline, like in the original Heir to the Empire trilogy, as opposed to the Sequel Palpatine stuff. Especially with the Kaminoans moving to the Mount Tantiss cloning facility being shown in Bad Batch, which was also in Mando S1 with the Kaminoan scientist trying to clone Grogu. I think they’re all connecting to Thrawn, not Palpatine.

I think this show is fine but every time I watch another show like Stranger Things and The Boys or even Ms. Marvel, I realise how dull, lazy and poorly made this show is. The production and the writing of Stranger Things and The Boys and the charm of Ms. Marvel is far more engaging than whatever this show is.

Vader's too stiff. Vader's powers are terribly defined and this show is kind of bad. Leia is not good. She's way too smart, it's terrible writing. This is what SW is now, pretty bad to mediocre stuff.

I disliked this episode. Even though on paper I should have loved it. Like the pacing on this show is so poorly done. if it was a time thing this being the shortest episode when it should have been longer really hurt it. Like why is O’Shea Jackson Jr. here. Who is he? Like the episode starts and we have like three minutes and he’s in and I thought I had tuned out twenty minutes of the show. It’s not like a fun watch, I’m not excited to watch it.

I agree with Anthony, they are showing us really cool parts of the Star wars universe we've only speculated about before (in modern cannon at least). But this show is just poorly written and horribly shot 75% of the time, I do believe your rose tinted goggles are on for this one.
