To one question I'll make it short for you. Star Wars has the Death Star and Star Trek has the Genesis Device. A couple meter long torpedo vs a weapon the size of a small moon.

One day, i would love to see a Victory Class Star Destroyer represented in canon. I know it was mentioned in "Tarkin" but i would love to see one on screen, It was always a favourite of mine from the Star Wars space flight sim days, small, but packed a surprising amount of firepower for a ship under 1000m.

Same here. I have been waiting to see both the Victory Class Star Destroyer as well as the Theft of the T-65 in Rebels since the show started. The Victory is Canon by being mentioned in Tarkin, but I'ts almost criminal we haven't had an on-screen depiction of the Victory yet.

Also we have the Secutor-class, the Midway-class to the Venator's Essex-class. In legends they were 2.2 Km long and were able to carry large wings of TIE series craft, given their design similarity to the Venators it's likely they were a KDY design that were under set to enter service for the Republic Navy but the war ended before they could enter service.

Kylo Revan Disney didn’t create the canon but LucasFilm did because it was suggested by George Lucas. George Lucas wanted to be there a canon because it contradicted what he wanted to do with franchise.

Yeah it is, but there's practically zero information on it and it seems to be used a lot less often in new canon. I'll cover the ship's legends lore eventually, but here's hoping it gets a bigger role in the new canon eventually. :)

Spacedock Tarkin also reintroduced the secutor and a bunch of interdictor cruiser models. Which doesn't really fit with how rebels introduced. The interdictor as a totally new thing. I have the suspicion that Tarkin was written as an old canon book and that had it been written for new canon, the victory wouldn't have been there

It's possible that the interdictor technology was old, but not well known to the public. A simple retcon could make it so that the Empire simply made a more practical interdictor vessel that was easier to maintain and produce.

Imperial ships are by far my favorite in Star Wars. Rebel ship classes are confusing due to the mixed nature the Rebellion tends to have, considering they are composed of several different ships from multiple different cultures that all follow their own unique designs. The Empire meanwhile is streamlined and organized in a structure of ship classes that are tiered, starting with frigates and making their way up the spectrum until they reach their dreadnought class capital ships. Far better set up than the mess the Rebellion fleet has.

The AoR rpg has given the Raider II a loadout of 6 dual heavy laser cannons turrets alongside her sides, a single heavy ion cannon and a twin light turbolaser cannons in the chin (the blunt section under her 'nose') for the II. "Older" models (Raider I) had cluster missiles in place of the ion cannon (this loadout is more effective against starfighters).

I've always despised the Imperial Star Destroyer's conning tower bridge, just made it looks so goofy on an otherwise intimidating frame. Just imagine it, remove that giant tower and what's left looks really great as a simple arrowhead shape.

The Arquitens seemed at at one time like it should be a solid adversary, a pocket Star Destroyer as it were, able to project power and take command of battlespace when it enters, as long as the enemy didn't have any large capital ships of their own. But after three seasons of Rebels it's been pretty much completely Worfed, every time they wanted to hand the Ghost crew a victory of some sort, an Arquitens was the whipping boy of choice. IIRC the Ghost has taken out a few itself.

I hope that the Victory class gets more fleshed out in canon. It's the only canon imperial ship larger than an arquitens yet smaller than an imperial that could hold it's own in a fight without significant escourt. Plus it's pretty much always been my favourite star destroyer design even long before legends became known by that name.

biostemm nah they arent the same. those wings are torpedo and missile banks. They are canon as well as they were mentioned in tarkin. Hopefuly they show them in rebels

Arquitens is my favorite. I think that the Refit version was able to retract and deploy it's side Turbolasers. hence why they seem to be missing on the refit model.

I am a little confused by the Imperal Arquitens-class. Its docking clamps attach to the shuttle's dorsal stabilizer...but how does the occupant get onboard? The ramp is on the ventral surface.
