If you listened closely you'll hear that Gideons suit is mechanized, giving him the advantage over Din and Bo.

@@connorredshaw7994 Naw, I think the Gideon that they battled in the suit was a clone himself that hadn't had his midiclorians dialed in yet to access the Force. I think the lack of mustache was a subtle hint.

the spies referred to the 12 spies (scouts) Moses sent to Canaan to scout of the safety & viability of The Promised Land. 12 Mandos flew down to the surface. & as someone who grew up going to watch Flash Gordon every Saturday morning I genuinely think that this is a PERFECT paean to it & the shows it inspired, wrapped (as George did) in a Star Wars skin. I GET that people don't vibe with the structure, pacing, dialogue and much more but I honestly don't think Favreau cares because this IS what he's aiming for (& achieving gloriously imo). I reckon act 3 does exactly what NWH did for Spidey & resets the board with our two mains having changed a TON & with totally new adventures ahead of them. this may not be perfect TV for so many people but if you're of a certain age and (most essentially) accept what you're being shown at face value - cos they haven't hidden what this show is from day one - them I think it needs FAR less thought putting into it, much like when you were a kid falling in love with this stuff. too many ppl can't or won't allow that to happen & imvho, that's what's causing them to 'dislike' it. it's just simply TV from another age & we've forgotten about it. it's Kung Fu, Shane, The A-Team & tons more, & NO ONE ever picked those shows apart the way they do with Star Wars.

This was such an incredible episode. I loved this one so much, I thought it was perfect. I felt like everything about it was just so fantastic in every aspect. The the story, the writing, the action and the interactions between the characters made this episode even more incredible. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave us both that classic Mandalorian theme that we love and some action, thriller sounding themes. And the set design for the locations in this one were so amazing. Whether it was the ruins of Mandalor, or Navarro they just looked so real, fantastic, and really lived in through out the entirety of their scenes. Right off the bat it was really cool to see Mando escape from those Imperial Mandalorians, the choreography was awesome and it was really cool to see Grogu come in and help Din. And that Mando hallway fight with Imperial Mandalorians was also really awesome. Again the choreography was amazing, its always just so great to see Mando beating up Imperials, especially with all the unique and different ways he went about it. Also I found all the R5 scenes so funny. Whether it was the way he acted/moved or the things he did with those Mouse Droids. And then we get to see a live action Attack of Mandalor. This was so amazing to get to see, it was awesome and really visually and ascetically pleasing in every way. It was so great to see Bo-Katan leading the army of Mandalorians into battle while wielding the Darksaber. And again the choreography for this battle was amazing, seeing all the Mandalorians fighting the Imperial Mandalorians was awesome, seeing all the unique and different ways the Mandalorians were able to take them out was so cool. And its always great to see more of The Armorer in action. Then we get the reveal of Moff Gideon Clones. This was an insane reveal that I could have never seen coming. All this time I’ve been thinking that the Clones he was making were to reincarnate Palpatine, but it was really for Force Sensitive Clones of himself. I wonder if this plot line will come back up in Season 3. Then we get to see a really cool fight scene between Moff Gideon and Din. It was cool to get to see these two have a rematch after their last fight in Season 2. I will say though, it was a little weird to me that Moff Gideon was able to overpower Din so many times. From what we saw in their fight in Season 2, Din was a much more skilled fighter and was easily able to take him down after he disarmed him of the Darksaber. So maybe that Mandalorian, Dark Trooper armor he was wearing was giving him a little added strength. Then after that we get to see another cool fight, between Mando, Grogu and the Praetorian Guards. I loved being able to see the two of them working together in order to defeat their opponents. Especially when Grogu would use the force on one of the Praetorian Guards that would allow Mando to take one of them out. And I loved the fight between Bo-Katan and Moff Gideon. It was so great to finally get to see these two fighting. I thought that the choreography in this was really cool and I really liked the way how you could feel Bo-Katan’s emotions throughout the fight. It felt like with each strike she was releasing more and more of her hatred for him. And, wow, Moff Gideon literally broke the Darksaber with his hands. Further proof of my theory that the Mandalorian, Dark Trooper armor he was wearing was giving him a little added strength. I also feel like the destruction of the Darksaber could be a very important part of the Mandalorian’s future. Now that it is gone, none of them will fight over who should rule purely based off of who owns the Darksaber. And it was so awesome to see Axe Woves crash the Light Cruiser into the base. Not only was it just a really cool move, but it also proved how far he was willing to go in order to help save his people. Also Moff Gideon just die? Or is this some sort of trick to get us to believe he’s dead when really that was just a Clone. Either way it was satisfying to finally get to see him get what he had coming to him after all the bad things he had done. I also loved the way how Grogu stopped the explosion from hitting him, Din and Bo the same way that Kanan did in Rebels. And I really liked the ending of this episode, it really felt like it was able to wrap up (or for one case check back in on) the remaining storylines for this season. It was really great to see the Mandalorians finally coming together in order to rebuild Mandalor. I also liked how we got to see them restoring Mandalor in both a physical and spiritual way. They were able to physically start the restoration of Mandalor by restarting the Great Forge, and they were able to spiritually restore Mandalor by doing the ritual for the Children of the Watch. And it was so heartwarming to see Mando officially adopt Grogu as his son. I also really liked getting to see another glimpse at the Mythosaur, but I will admit I was a little bit surprised that this was the most we saw of it after Episode 2. Maybe this means they are setting up for its true return to be in Season 4. Speaking of Season 4, I loved the setup they made for it by having Din becoming a private contractor for Carson Teva in order to hunt down other Imperial remnants. It was really cool to see Greef Karga again, I always enjoy getting to see Navarro, especially when Din and Greef do their special handshake. And I loved that we finally (really) got IG-11 back, I have been waiting for his real return ever since they teased us with it in the first episode of this season. And I like how Din kind of left him as a present for Greef as the Marshal of Navarro, I wonder if he will be present in Season 4. Also what was up with that weird, cartoonish, Looney Tunes looking, closing transition? Don’t get me wrong, I loved that the final shot was of Din and Grogu together, but still what was up with that thing. Also this is the first season in the show where we didn’t get to see Din’s face. I actually found this really surprising. I thought at the very least we would have gotten to see him with his helmet off while he was sitting at his Navarro home at the end. Anyway, I loved this episode so much. It was so perfect in every aspect and served as a great action packed thriller. I really loved this season, despite its ups and downs I was still able to enjoy it a lot and appreciate it for everything it was able to accomplish and give us. I cannot wait for next season and to see what it will be about, whenever it may be. It was so great to watch your reactions to this season and I can’t wait to watch more down the line. I think the story was missing in this finale. A lot of action and stunts. But would love more dogfights, looking into you lego interceptor set. No funeral for paz. It was like no one cared about him, not even his son. And that was felt during the whole episode. Just action, absolute no tention, no stakes, no suprises, no emotions, no epic moment. 100% opposite of Pershing episode. Both needs more balance in my mind.

I feel like this was better as a series finale than it was a season finale. So my hope is that Season 4 of The Mandalorian is secretly Rangers of the New Republic reworked into a series that no longer needs Gina Carano’s Cara Dune and will be led by Carson Teva working with his squad of Mandalorian Director X-Wing characters and Din Djarin & Grogu, now that they’ve been hired to help the New Republic look for the Imperial Remnants. RIP Moff Gideon

That could be cool! I don’t personally need Teva to have that much screen time though. I prefer him just being like Greef Karga. You visit him every other episode but he’s not there all the time ya know?

Music was great in this episode. Based on the ending, this feels like a soft series finale, just in case a Fourth Season isn't picked up due to the ratings.

Your reaction videos are among the best. I hope you continue through Ashoka. I found the most enjoyable parts of Season 3 were the DinBo interactions/partnership, with Katee's acting being sublime -- I just watched it again, and the fierce, screaming attack of Bo-Katan on Gideon, just seconds, was incredible. I wish the director had given her a moment to adopt Ragnar in a gesture to Paz's bravery. It might have emphasized that retaking Mandalore did come at a price.

This season was mixed, but as usual it ended well. I think the ending was good enough and (for now) offered some great closure. I would assume Moff Gideon is dead but he may have more clones somewhere else so I guess we’ll have to wait and see. The aerial combat was insane and Din soloing like 20 stormtrooper mandalorians was absolutely amazing.not to mention the mandalorian drop off scenes, which as always are great. I’m glad that IG-11 is back as he was one of my favorite characters, although I am a little sad that IG-12 is gone. It was fun while it lasted. Also the Praetorian guards were absolutely badass and way more threatening than in the Sequel Trilogy. And of course, papa Din is now canon. Overall, I’d give this season a 7/10 Great, but just a few steps short of being amazing.

This may not have been the strongest season of The Mandalorian especially with people claiming it undid all the development in Season 1 and Season 2, but it at least feels like it ended with a bow. Anyway, time to move on to August for the big event of the year on Disney+ in Ahsoka, which, while only 8 episodes in the 1st season, will be more serialized and focused on its story (meaning no filler side quest episodes) and with the average runtime of its episodes being slightly longer than The Mandalorian (maybe an average runtime of 45 minutes per episodes). And it so far looks like it will deliver on being Filoni’s passion project (which doesn’t get any better than having Kevin Kiner score it and Dave Filoni write all of it along with directing 37.5% of the first season, too) that looks better and more expensive than The Mandalorian that will also balance story and lore without one overshadowing the other or falling into the much overused, very mean “Glup Shitto” labeling.

While I did love this episode, I feel disappointed that the Watch’s corrupt system and rules weren’t called out at all. I wish Gideon removed Din’s helmet as one last middle finger to the Creed and destroyed it. That would have been great. Then when Din returns to the Armorer, she says it’s okay because he’s proved himself, and the Way is no longer necessary because Mandalore is reunited. I’m really dissatisfied by that. The show has basically condoned the cult’s corrupt ways, which is kinda messed up for victims of real life cults.

I’m just gonna say this… The Bad Batch Season 2 > The Mandalorian Season 3 And I’m more excited and welcoming for The Bad Batch Season 3 (the final season, btw) next year than I would be for another season of The Mandalorian, which I hope doesn’t happen, since this episode feels like the perfect end to the series.
