I’m absolutely loving that you are preserving the period of the cottage. Old furniture were made to last years and were pieces of art. As an artist I find colors, textiles and patterns can enhance a home. (Though personally I love natural earthy tones. ) Take your time choosing what speaks to you. In the end your home will have your signature on it. Your kitchen is quite a delight with all those lovely trinkets and large mixing bowls. I have quite a collection myself and haven’t finished yet. 😝 But they get quite a use since I have daughters who also enjoy baking. Our island is the center of the work space where vegan food preparations and chitchat is the order of the day! Thank you for sharing your Reno and looking forward to your next project.

The fabric pattern looks a bit like a pincushion hakea but they tend to have a pink flower, but it may come in yellow too. Very much Australian native designs :)

The pattern looks like eucalyptus leaf and flowers. Also called gum trees and they smell amazing when you rub the leaves. They’re an iconic Aussie tree and Koalas eat the leaves all day long.

I love watching you put you stamp on your beautiful cottage, it reminds me of when my husband and I first bought our first home, we were just youngsters , he was 22 I was 19 when we got our mortgage and we loved making our home our own.
