I haven't used a Fenwick in forever used to have the old glass Fenwick rods. Your vids are always the best when it comes to steelhead and salmon fishing. Love the catch and cook vids. I miss fishing my home turf. Pacific northwest. Oregon specifically. Would love to book a summer trip with you and bring my wife for her 1st salmon and steelhead trip ever. Hope to be able to biik it this summer when we travel to oregon for a vacation to see family.

Butter is the key! I’ve always done salmon or steelhead on offset firebox grill using briquettes, lump charcoal (Carbone) which is charred mesquite, along with various other woods be it apple or cherry or alder or hickory at 250-275 for about 50-70 min depending on size and thickness in a foil boat like you mentioned then finished to perfection on gas grill only using a little seasoned salt, a little Tom Douglas rub with love Salmon rub, Worcestershire and topped with you know it BUTTER before introducing any heat, it gives a Smokey note and very moist and juicy. Everyone tells me it’s the best they’ve ever had, most are far more seasoned fishers than I. Love your channel and the diversity of fish and seafood! Best of wishes!

Vanilla ice cream is also good with coffee, especially when used with a French press...it mellows out some of the bitterness. Crabbing sucks right now but a crabbing video in the future would be nice. Maybe a rock bottom fishing video also, who doesn’t like to catch some sea bass, lingcod and crabs!?

HAHA! They are good at finding the stinkiest stuff to roll in! I tell people that its actually a part of a salmon's life cycle. Salmon hatch and go out to the ocean, come back a few years later, spawn, die, your dog rolls in it, nutrients go back to the forest! HAHA
