I met Steve Perry a longtime ago in an elevator in San Francisco. I was 19, tried to remain calm, and said to him that I loved his music and he replied, that he loved the Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookie I was eating. So I shared one with him! He thanked me and walked out of the elevator. My friend and I screamed so loud and jumped up and down when the elevator doors closed….I’m sure he heard us! One of the highlights of my existence! I’m 60 now and still love his music. Part of the soundtrack of my life✨💖

What an amazing, down-to-earth, humble, unpretentious, laid back, unassuming, modest and genuine guy Steve is. The well-deserved fame never went to his head and he remembers, both literally and figuratively, where he came from. His kind of attitude and character is sorely missing in today's celebrities. I was blessed to have worked for their (Journey) production company, Nocturne Productions, in Oakland and in SF after Loma Prieta quake in 89. I didn't personally know Steve and the guys well enough to go hang out at their homes but they were in and out of the place. Actually, all of them were pretty chill back then. I worked in the stage lighting department most of the time. Was at a few rehearsals prior to the Raised On Radio tour. All is all, Steve Perry is one of the most gifted vocalists of our time, in my opionion. As well as a gentle and passionate person. I still go see the guys when they come to town, but it just ain't th' same magic anymore. Still love 'em though. :)

Fantasy - the world of fantasy! You and most the Steve Perry ass kissing, don't know shit, can believe what you want. But get your facts straight before you decide to go down to the balls in public. Steve Perry didn't take journey anywhere, five hardworking people who had great chemistry working together "led them to mega-stardom" Out of those five, three of and two future bandmates with a hardworking manager made journey what they were and are today. Steve Perry is a quitter who seems to blame the others for the choices he made and he doesn't give two shits about you or his bandmates. If he had any give a shit about his fans or bandmates he would have played with them at the RRHF if it were to stand and hmm. So please you SP fans are a special breed that should learn facts and shut the fuck up.

Steve Perry . "THE VOICE"🤘❤💋
@1979bobhd5 жыл бұрын
@Marisa Rodriguez • Steve Perry is a great singer, but in the rock world the nick name The Voice has always been reserved for Paul Rodgers both great singers in their own rights I just wish Steve's new stuff rocked a bit harder.
@conniedoan69174 жыл бұрын
@@1979bobhd ......I guess it depends what generation you're in. I've always known "the voice" to be Benny Mardones. Having the same song "Into the Night" hit the top 20 charts not once , but twice , and hitting the charts a third time in 2019. Sadley , He passed away a few weeks ago. R.I.P Benny "the voice" Mardones. You're right! I don't remember Steve Perry being referred to as "the voice" , even though he was spectacular.
