Lee Buckley Seriously! That's a real deal can opener like I'd find in my grandmothers house. I like the old P-38 for its small size. It gets the job done. Also, easy to keep on a dog tag style necklace. But this is a sturdy, overbuilt can opener. I'd like to try one.

First, I am from Slovakia and I am surprised just how... Slovak... the whole ration is. The drink tablets? Those can be bought in any shop, exactly the same packaging, the same protective cap, a bit bigger(I guess they are 15 tablet pack in stores). The food that you got was pretty much your regular school/army/socialist factory canteen type of food. The crispbread can also be found in pretty much any shop. I can pretty much go to any shop and buy like 50% of this ration. Its also surprising that our guys are still running around with cans like its 1980s. Regarding the crispbread ratio. Its because usually, bread is eaten as a side to cabbage and bean soup. So one pack for cabbage, one pack for soup and one pack for liver pate. I mean, you dont have to, but thats my guess of what was the logic of packing 3 packs of bread.

if you put enough it will kill anyone. But it tastes like bleach smells. (They are chlorine) so you couldn't get away with it.

flatbread's there because in the Eastern parts of Europe and i presume most of the Slav countries you eat almost every meal with bread, soups/broth's, stews/casseroles. Most of the savory dishes.
