After seeing Stevie live the other night, it's clear she really loved Tom. They had an amazing friendship. And reading up in it, he seems to be one of the only men who was immune to her allure. The fact that she has friendships and musical partnerships going back almost 50 years says a lot about her work ethic, character, and the respect people in the industry have for her. All her relationship drama was publicized, but that doesn’t seem to be who she really is. Love you, Stevie. RIP Tom.

Nothing like it. Been listening and loving since I was 15 years old (now 58). Ive never seen her in concert. I missed the Cal Jam 2 because my mom decided to ground me for being 15 min late on my curfew....lol still holding that and only that against my amazing mom! 😀. I love her solo stuff from the eighties. Love her at 72 years old. Her voice is still beautiful and clear. Can’t get enough really!

"i know u want to be your own girl"... meaning she's such a free-spirited gal. she said she would have joined his band in a heartbeat if he asked her. think they both had eyes for one another, but did it come to fruition??? i can't find any source to that fact yet. now that she's 73, she has no kids to be in her inner family circle.. kinda sad, she chose her career as her 1st love.

I am 50, my daughter is 23,loves Tom Petty, raised her well. So proud. Good music knows no age, you just need a friend, an aunt , mother or father to introduce you. Tom Petty is a legend, hardly better song writer can be found. I only hope that new generations can learn from his music and have their own music pillars and not fleeting popularity contests with hardly any substance. What a timeless duet.
