Judge Milian does NOT play around with distracted driving. You know how at the end of each case there are big red letters that say “DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE”? It’s because one of her staff members lost their child due to a distracted driver. So she plays NO GAMES with that.

If someone calls me and tells me they are driving I tell them to call me back later. If they text me and I happen to know they are driving, I also will not text them back right away.

It's literally my BIGGEST pet peeve. The number of people I see texting while driving is so unbelievable. What's crazier than that, is most of the people I see on their phones while driving are EMPLOYEES - example : Dell, Rogers, Bell, taxi drivers, etc. Disgusting.

The defendant needs to take a leadership and management class. His attitude will cost him a lot of money. Employees will quit, as wee see here, and potential clients will reject service. And ultimately, sponsors will not do business. The defendant have a business that could grow. But that attitude will be the reason it dies. And that my friend is a true example of failure. If he watches this and reads the comment, please let this be a teaching lesson. You're in New York City. If you burn bridges, I promise you, you're going to sink!

It took me years to have a successful coaching practice and someone in my family (Very young) took some 2 hr class and started charging $350 right out of the gate (no insurance, no business license , no actual client experience (i did a whole bunch of freebies to gain my footing))... was like wtf are you thinking? 'She sad she was being an entrepreneur . SMH, I have years of schooling, workshops, certificates, volunteer hours and now over a decade of client experience and still don't charge $350...she only ever had 2 clients. It's that get rich mentally or to think anyone can just do it that kills me. If someone is successful there is usually hard work behind it.

My unsolicited advice is do not spend a lot on advertising and instead see what you can do exchange for (Like I wrote a weekly column in a local newspaper for a while for no pay bc it got my name out there and made me an "expert". I also did guest spots on local radio and held free workshops at a senior home and library.) It only takes ONE client for it all to turn around. HANG IN THERE! (also I wish I hadn't spent so much money on how to get clients, there is a lot of BS out there)😄

Someone who hopes their boss will be honest. Someone who's given up. There are many reasons why one would lose motivation and stop doing something that is essential to their well being. The defendant ran a very sloppy business, like so many small business owners. You can't be unorganized as a business owner and then get mad at your staff when things fall apart. What is the worst is when he is saying that it is not up to him to double check his hours in order to pay him. I had worked for a Sylvan Learning Center that said that it is up to us to put the hours down and they will not double check to ensure we are paid correctly during a meeting. So I casually asked if I wrote down more hours than the ones I worked, does that mean you will over pay me?

The primary problems I see with employment companies is a lack of policy. Many companies (including supervisors) fail to operate professionally because of a practice opposed to a policy. The plus about Policy over Practice is the fact that when things fall apart, Policy allows you to recover whereas a Practice operates as a hearsay or a folktale and no recovery, just more FAQs.
