I really like the first two advices, but as soon as I tell someone about my goal, BAM - my motivation is GOOOOOOONE. I'll take the first two, thank you so much, your positivity is contagious!
@reemmahrous73147 жыл бұрын
Milica Stojanovic yeah 😔 once telling someone about your goals, your unconscious mind believes that you achieve these goals so u lose ur motivation.
@micilovesami7 жыл бұрын
Reem Frrag Yeah, it happened to me couple of times, so I've changed my strategy - I'll do my work and then just surpise people with results! It's not like their opinion is very important, but it does feel good when someone says 'Good job/Wow, you look amazing' etc :) But daily motivation/review of my goals is definitely what I need.
@BaronStVon7 жыл бұрын
Just curious, why do you feel your motivation goes? In my own life, I'm usually not hindered when I tell people about my goals. If anything, sometimes I tell them to help so they can keep me extra accountable---which is what happens. So it'd be interesting to hear the contrasting view/experience
@reemmahrous73147 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, maybe it differs from one to one. For me personally when I tell someone even my sister about something that I want to accomplish the next 2 couple of month and my plan to reach that goal, in this moment I feel as happy as if I were achieved this goal. After while I feel like i lost my motivation and I'm no longer have the true desire towards my goal. But when I try to play and plan secretly, it goes on really! Maybe you find it challenging to tell someone about ur plans this month or this year.

Reem Frrag Thanks for sharing! I usually say my goals a lot, but it hasn't deterred me in the past. Goes to show how much individuality there is when it comes to learning/"success" styles

Your goals need to be aligned to your values and beliefs otherwise you will never achieve them. They need to be big enough to excite you and have a big enough why to compel you. They need to be continually in the forefront of your mind and you must have complete faith that your goals will be achieved. Write them down and believe that the universe has already sent you the results you desire and they will show up with less effort than you could ever imagine.

you're the man of my dreams! I don't even know how to put it but you have no idea how much you've helped and educated me throughout these past 2 years that i've been exposed to your videos. I'm an 18 year old girl with big dreams and big personal struggles Every time I hear you I get re-charged and you give me that mindset I need to start living the challenges of achieving high performance. I want to thank you for the greatness you do as I bet you have helped more than one throughout their journey. I hope I will meet you one day in my life because I want to give you a big hug. You are great Brendon.

This is so true. The best solution for me is to create a routine that has certain time for working on the goals, other time is flexible a.k.a I can do whatever I feel like. The worst thing is that something so exciting just grabs you and you feel like your goal is not "worthy" because it doesn't bring instant gratification. The more instant gratification you consume, the harder the life that you once dreamed of becomes to actually create. For example. Have strict routine for what time of the clock you work on business, what time your workout is, or meal prep for healthy foods of the week. Once you create this, you are set. Allow yourself to feel bad if you dont do the things that you are supposed to do.

Hi Brendon. I fundamentally agree with all three points - expose yourself to the goals on a daily basis, keep track of them and monitor them every single week, and share them with others. The one thing that I don't necessarily agree with is that the surrounding yourself with these goals part necessarily has to come in the form of visualization. Some people are simply not visual and even visualizing something as simple as an apple comes hard to them (including me). For these people, the fundamental stays the same: expose yourself to the goals every single day. But the form of it may be different. For instance, I may write letters with my goals and distribute them throughout all the places that I am usually spending time at, and read them every single time I cross by or so. I believe that the point is the constant exposure to the goal and to the necessary struggle, not the means by which this is done.

I have a week off... Wasted my time until now... Sad face. Well, it's not that bad... I still have 3+ days off (it depends if i recover sooner or later from a surgery I had)
@BaronStVon7 жыл бұрын
Good luck with the recovery, man. Which surgery did you have to get? Usually for me the best way to recover out of procrastination is either to switch my environment or listen to really productive people
@whitespace96527 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It had probably the easiest surgery: ingrown nail at both big toes. After 5 days the pain is now almost inexistent but i still can't walk, only in a weird way that hurts. I'll try after recovery to switch my environment, I hope it will work. I am already listening to really productive people, but on youtube. In real life I don't really know so many people that are, at least, not procrastinating because I'm in highschool and almost everyone this age don't really care that much about their future so most of their free time they are playing video games or going out... It is kind of hard to do the opposite because if you tell someone that you are thinking about your future and actually doing something unusual for this age, he will most likely say (at least in my country) to enjoy your teenage years... So the community won't really help me that much, sadly.
@BaronStVon7 жыл бұрын
Whitespace I understand. I know when I was back in high school, 99% of people didn't really plan their futures. I didn't plan too hard either other than knowing I was going to college. Wish I started earlier, but hey, I'm still young (22) and very productive now. Glad you're starting early. Some suggestions for productive people to listen to are (if you don't know them already): Tony Robbins, TD Jakes, Warren Buffet, and Elon Musk. Tons of videos of all them online. Good luck with the recovery, Whitespace!

Hey I don't think telling people about your goals is a very good idea. I mean, its different once you've accomplished them and can actually have something to show/tell. But if you go around and tell people (especially early on) they'll remember and if you don't make it they'll hold that against you and i guess that's pretty embarrassing.

Throughout history, people with great ideas and goals have faced similar lack of support but they never gave up. You have to believe in yourself and your ideas so much and make things happen.The support you need will eventually come as long as you don't give up.
