@@VestalVisions she was clueless. I've been in film over 20 years you could blindfold me and hand me blanks dummies and live rounds all day long and I could tell you over and over which is which. The fact a live round was even in her kit screams that she has no idea what she was doing. We don't use live ammunition, ever. Even the blanks are quarter charges. She loaded live ammo into a gun and brought it to set and then buggered off, she shouldn't be loading dummies into a gun and walking off...THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN! Very simple but strict protocols that she ignored.

Crazy the trial showed she had live rounds mixed into everything even the gun belt Baldwin was wearing. Perfect example of nepotism in the movie industry. This time someone got killed because of it, and the fact that this girl had very little understanding of firearm safety. She likely didn't care to learn either she was only doing the job because her father got her the job.

Rust spots them coming in the door and takes them out before they can draw. Helyna was lining up for the camera shot. She was not behind the camera. She was deciding where to put the camera for the angle. That's why Joel was standing behind her.

I've watched a lot of these videos, and the armorer is beyond immature, unprofessional and annoying. Even now she's crying more like a child that wants people to not hold her accountable. I read recent updates and saw a video of the prosecutors who have now charged Alec and Hannah (the purple headed Armorer) with involuntary manslaughter. Here’s THE KICKER apparently…when this cop first walks up you see a kinda blondish, grayish haired man w/a blue mask on just hanging around outside the church door. He and/or Hannah WERE THE 2 responsible for giving Alec a supposedly checked and cold gun…meaning it’s SAFE. But here’s THE catch with this odd looking dude…he has already ‘flipped’ (if you will) and is going to be a witness for the prosecution for some kinda deal…sounds like he’s got something on Alec as what IS he going to say?? I do know…as we all do Alec IS a renowned hit head and kinda pushy and bullish. There WAS a rub with some other ppl working on this set who quit cause of unknown reasons of “safety” & money/contracts signed. They quit the day before this happened just quit. I read where ppl were shooting live ammo during breaks as the guns are real. Somebody had live bullets there and put one or left one in that gun I believe. I think that guy and Alec had had some kinda run in before. AND to make this worse Alec already has settled the civil suit outta court with the woman victim’s family. And supposedly gave her now widowed husband a “producers” role in finishing this movie. WTH??? Sounds fishy as hell to me…chic seemed incompetent by saying I don’t know Then I think when cop asked about the ammo put in gun. Definitely a shit show and that dude flipped to protect his ASS!! And put Alec and chic in jail!!

An armorer is supposed to have a KIT, an organized box or case, everything clearly labeled and a record kept of everything in and out, with time/date signatures, and the person being handed the "cold" gun is to check it first before handling it, regardless of whether there is to be a scene where it is fired. Every professional and ethical practice was not in use here. on this set. She's criminally negligent and AB is negligent in not practicing the protocol of a double check, iN every industry where our practice CAN cause harm, there are protocols we are legally held to to prevent "accidents". in a pharmacy, in medicine, in surgery, in construction and heavy equipment, in factories.... this willend up in civil courts after the prosecutor decides whether to criminally charge , and for the armor, criminal charges are 100% necessary

The armorer for sure screwed this up, but another thing that strikes me is how blame gets passed in these sets. They say it's not Alec's job to check that the gun is safe, yet he pulls the trigger. They say the other director guy handed him the gun, which he didn't check because he figures it's the girls job. Then I'm sure the girl will blame the supplier of ammo or something. Then when the lady that owns the ranch they're filming comes up at 7:30 or so, all she can do is say "I have insurance!". Not saying the ranch lady should have any blame at all, but it's like nobody has any responsibility. Everything is passed to the next. Seems like an easy way to have accidents when nobody has skin in the game.

That's not how firearm safety on film sets works. I've been on set for over 20 years. Here's the ones responsible. Armorer and 1st AD should both face criminal charges. She loaded the rounds, and he called "cold gun" (a term used to let everyone on set know there is no charge in the gun) and hadn't even inspected it. It's his job. And with the safety issues raised about gun safety and nothing being done, the property manager and the UPM and line producer should also face some liability. And one look at the line producer and her "woke" self you can tell what was between the armorers legs was more important in her hiring than what competence she had in her brain.

Gloves generally don't matter much when it comes to recovering guns for evidence. You can't typically recover fingerprints from them like you see in the movies and there's not much concern for DNA contamination because aside from the point you already made that everyone knows it was Alec handling the gun, every officer on scene also has their DNA (and fingerprints) on file with the department so any DNA contamination would be irrelevant as they would know who the contaminating DNA belongs to. There's no fear of removing powder/burns evidence either as that would be much harder to remove than simply brushing it off with skin contact. In general, the evidence that is typically recovered from a gun would be ballistics-based evidence and DNA evidence which neither would be affected by the wearing (or not wearing) of gloves.

@@RealSiViX I was thinking about chain of evidence - who handled post shot, not DNA. "...would be much harder..." why introduce the issue in the first place - are gloves so difficult whenever at a crime scene? No one should have been near that - and it shouldn't even been moved physically itself until cleared.

I wasn't sure when it first happened, now I'm convinced your 100% right. I don't care for Bladwin, but it wasn't his fault, he's the actor, not supposed to know about guns, that is the purpose of hiring an armour, and having them present. Actors are theatrical people, even if he did pull the trigger, he was "rehearsing" in his mind, with an empty gun, that an armour had cleared, technically not his job to clear it. Maybe. Alec Baldwin as an actor cannot be held responsible. Actors are, in a sense, insane when they're filming. I don't mean that disrespectfully, it simply corresponds to the fact that they slip into a parallel world, some more, others less. The parallel world has to be protected - by the director and the production department. And that's where the unfortunate fact that Baldwin is part of the production department comes into play. Baldwin as producer bears responsibility.

nothing odd there. the victim was still on scene as medics were trying to stabilize her for transport, the photographer has nothing to do on scene until the victims been transported, the scene is secured and the detectives gave the green lights for photos being taken... the detectives weren't on the scene yet to conduct witness interviews...

We need a unedited version of body cam footage with all of the sound.. Also why wasn't the officer who was on scene & in charge not accompanying the ammunition that was used on set whenever the production company went to retrieve the ammunition for him that was on that cart.. Why didn't a officer do that who has a body cam activated which could be used as evidence & proof that nothing was tampered with.

The armorer shows so many signs of a guilty person and little signs of remorse. She only cried once she realized she might get arrested. Her body language is screaming that she knows exactly what happened, and she was the one who messed things up. I hope she gets held accountable.

She had no idea of the extent of the situation at the given time. Not saying shes in the clear but I am saying she most likely didnt want anyone to get hurt but she also has no idea what's shes doing.

Yea I can’t help but wonder if she did it on purpose, did the person Alec shot say something about guns that she didn’t like? After all it’s her job to work with guns. I don’t I could see someone saying something catty to her or overhear something she didn’t like. And decided to make it look like an accident

If the armorer had checked the gun or if David Hill had checked the gun or if Baldwin had checked the gun she would be alive. And what the hell were live bullets even there for? I heard recreational target shooting during breaks? What the hell????

Have been around firearms my whole life, both recreationally and professionally. I have never met or heard an Armorer say "pretty sure" about anything related to firearms they are responsible for. This is a great example of why Hollywood needs to rely on real Technical Advisors. A technical advisor with basic understanding of proper / professional firearms handling could easily have vetted her prior to hiring, and could have continued to evaluate her ability on-set...potentially catching the issue before an incident.

She was probably just a prop manager who had no experience with guns, but was given the title of "armorer" to make it sound good.

Armorer is on trial for manslaughter. You can hear her crying cause I’m sure she knows she screwed up and made a huge mistake. She’s an alcoholic and drug addict. Baldwin admits seeing her drunk on set . How can you allow this to take place? I hope justice is served period.

If Baldwin saw her drunk on set, it's on him if she remained employed. I have not heard that Baldwin said that.

Ive been shooting since my teens. Never trust anyone who says the firearm is "COLD" They are always "HOT" until you the handler confirm it for yourself its COLD. What happened is a tragedy. As for the Armour she has stated her dad is a nice guy but difficult to work for on set. Her dad has never had an indecent like this on set because of the way he is. She is not ready to fill daddy's shoes.

The officer in this video did an amazing job. Questions: Why did Baldwin have SOOOOO much time before he even saw a cop? Why were the lawyers there sooooooo quick? The Armer, she looks like a college student at Berkeley...she was the Armer? I saw very little news stories that there were 2 people shot.... very strange.
