This at home workout is low impact and can be done 2 or 3 times per week to help strengthen the muscles in your back, abs and hips… while increasing your mobility and helping you to stay stronger for longer…Enhancing your quality of life.

5 minute knee strengthening exercises routine to fix knee pain in mature women | fitness over 50! If you are experiencing knee pain as you're getting older, it can affect your whole quality of life... We are able to make our knees stronger by working the muscles in our hips, our thighs and our calves... all the muscles that connect to the knee... and if these muscles strong, they take the pressure off the knee joints so that the pain is reduced and your mobility is increased.
If you have knee pain you're not alone... In fact two thirds of women over the age of 50 are experiencing some form of knee pain... Do this knee strengthening routine and knee stretches, five days a week to really help your knee pain, and when your knees are feeling better you can reduce the frequency to 2 times a week.

A few years ago I had a sudden back pain that would drop you! I discovered a set of exercises like this back routine. The child’s pose gave such relief! I am doing this routine as a preventative.

Hi Schellea , I wanted to let you know how much I've been enjoying your stretching videos. I've been doing them for the past 3 days twice a day and I can already tell a difference. I'm 52, overweight, and at that point where everything hurts. I love that your videos are short and easy to follow. I can't quite get that Asian squat down yet, my calves are really tight, but I'll get there! Thanks a million :)

💐First one of the day,~I have not in fact been having any back pain, but starting yesterday, got the idea to do something good for my back anyway.Maybe my back knows something I don’t ! Of these practices, legs up on chair at 90 degree angle- I can feel the great advantage to the lower back. 💐Thank you, Schellea❤️

I cannot emphasize enough to check with your doctor or physical therapist. Especially if you have lumbar pain. While I am allowed to do some, others i have been told to avoid so I don't arch my back. Stretching is one of the best things for your entire body. Thanks for the video!

Amen! these stretches truly and genuinely do provide RELIEF. I was recently told that I have scoliosis & sciatica and I am noticing that the stretches are helping a lot with the pain; especially the cat cow. the rotation of the torso, and the back extensions. Thank you so very much.

I have a question. Due to arthritis in my right knee I cannot put pressure on the knee cap and consequently cannot do most of these exercises. Can you put a video together with relaxation exercises for the back without resting on the knees? That would be great! Thanking you in advance! I tweaked my lower back exercising and can't reach my toes today. I exercise every day so this is not good. I did this routine twice. The toe taps and static back helped the most. Transitioning was really difficult but I feel some relief. Thank you for the stretches!

I love this video, but wish that you would put all of the standing exercises together, then all of the (laying on the) floor exercises together! It takes me too long to get up and down off the floor that by then you've moved on to another exercise! Just a suggestion. Thanks so much for these videos!

Each of those feel healthy for my back, and two in particular feel so therapeutic, in my case of course: Windmill & torso rotations got great "popping" sound & feel going! Hi Schellea. I love your channel. Please make an updated video about lipstick for mature lips. Some of the lipsticks you recommended have been discontinued and the others are just too bright. I’m exactly the same complexion as you are and I’m having a hard time finding color that won’t be too much but will stay on my lips longer and won’t bleed. Thank you 🤗

Hey Shelly, Beverlee here @bbgirrrl ( 55+ yoga teacher and pilates instructor) one really important cue you forgot to mention in brigde is keeping the knees in line with the hips, (I say imagine you are squeezing a football/ yoga block in between your knees) it activates and tones the inner thighs, protects the knees and keeps the head of the femur in the hip socket safely. Your feet looked a little too far apart for my liking, but apart from that your advice was great! And doing something is better than doing nothing at all. Shame you're not in Melbourne! Enjoy the rest of your holiday :-)) oxox

I have a stretch routine to relieve my low back pain , I have facet joint problem and exercise helps. I'm familiar with the poses you share but my favourite one is grind pose, you can add it to your list.

Gave this a try , it would be nice to switch up the last few exercises as you go from the floor to standing and back to the floor , I find that hard on the back which kind of defeats the purpose 🥵

I enjoyed the workout but the commercials in the middle of the workout were really distracting. I don't know if there is a free way I can stop those from interrupting the flow completely. I would do this workout again for sure but I don't think I can handle that interruption in the middle of things.
