I'm a pharmacist and I don't usually comment on videos but I just want to say thank you for explaining real factual supplement information and all of the caveats that go along with them. I hope to see more videos like this in the future. You are making a difference in so many lives!

Thanks Becca. May I add that when using Vit k, You really need K2 mk7, NOT K2 mk4, Their is a difference. and that is what we need for calcium to get to disburse where it needs to be in our bodies, and not just sitting clogging arteries. Ive done a ton of research on this. The D3 I buy has K2mk7 in it. It also is Coconut oil based not vegetable oil based. I switched that over once I seen the coconut based D3-K2 that I take awa available and better for you.

This video was perfect timing. I have Crohn's and avoiding inflammation is key to keeping me in remission. I've been under a tremendous amount of stress recently and I'm worried of a flare. I'm going to ask my Dr. About the supplements you mentioned. Thank you for doing this video. I always get so much good info from you.😊

Do you take spirullina/chlorophyll while nursing? I used to take it but I stopped during pregnancy and nursing because I haven’t found much information on it.

Great video. Would you have any recommendations on the best way to take these supplements. I have all that you've mentioned. Should they all be taken at the same time? Should you pair certain ones together? ....

Is it necessary to supplement these nutrients if you take a prenatal/multivitamin?
@laur624325 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard you can’t take calcium supplements along with a prenatal as it will make some part of the ingredients ineffective? Is this true?

They don't. If it's a water-soluble vitamin, you'll just pee out most of the vitamins.

What about fiber supplements? Are they safe to take regularly for extended periods if we aren't consuming enough in our diet?
@jamie5mauser4 жыл бұрын
I really disagree that our ancestors had a more diverse diet. They likely hunted and foraged local food. They didn’t ship food all over the world like people do now

Research suggests that the majority of people won't benefit from a probiotic supplement and I think as a dietitian it's very reckless to recommend that everyone takes one. Also, it's worth mentioning for vegans and vegetarians that natto is the richest source of K2 and fermented foods are also great sources. Also, algae based omega-3 supplements are a great alternative to fish oils for vegans.
@honeyrose76635 жыл бұрын
Vegan k2 is not effective. It has to be converted to active form and it's been shown humans are unable to do that effectivly. The only sourse is from animal products or grown in a lab.
