I was subbed to a lot of the anti-SJW "skeptics" in 2016. Pretty much every single one of them flip-flopped when they started getting demonetized. It was funny how transparent it all was, and how these hacks had to suddenly pretend they were supportive of all the ideas they spent years bashing. Chris Ray Gun was always annoying though. 100%. I was a big fan of Some Black Guy and those guys. The big red flag for me was when they all signed a contract with that social media company that prohibited them from negatively criticising the platform. It turned out to be a scam that all these self-proclaimed "skeptics" fell for hook line and sinker because they didn't bother reading the contract or doing their own research. What kind of skeptics don't do research? And as if that wasn't bad enough, they all claimed to be "free speech advocates" and yet there they all were, unable to criticise something for two years because they happily signed away their right to speak. How on earth can you claim to be a rational skeptic while buying into the idea that there are more than two genders, it's possible to change gender, and also gender doesn't exist in the first place? 🤦‍♂️ How can you claim to be a skeptic when you're falling for one of the biggest pharmaceutical scams of all time? You can opt out of the free Disney+ but you have to tell them and be insistent. The man at the phone store was just baffled and I don’t think he’s ever seen anyone refuse something free before. But I told him that I didn’t want it. He looked at me like I was a little bit crazy. If he only knew. I basically had to threaten to go somewhere else before they were willing to take it off. In the US there was a large survey of people who had survived serious suicide attempts. They found that people might decide that ending it all was a solution to their problems, but most didn’t plan a date, the actual attempt was almost spontaneous (like suddenly deciding to jump off the bridge they crossed every day) and the attempt might be put off for years. They also found that most people who survived an attempt didn’t immediately try again. Many folk carried on for decades afterwards. So I guess the lessons are that suicide is rarely a rational, considered decision and most people who succeed would probably not do it if they could rewind the clock.
